In November 2023, Vietnamese businessman and car enthusiast, Pham Tran Nhat Minh, popularly known as Minh “Nhua,” surprised many by sharing images of a colorful fleet of Lamborghini Revuelto cars parked outside an authorized dealership abroad. “Just looking,” Minh “Nhua” captioned the post. Months later, he got the opportunity to get up close and personal with the first hybrid supercar from Lamborghini in Vietnam.
Although the Lamborghini Revuelto Minh “Nhua” encountered was only temporarily imported for re-export, it was enough to captivate the car enthusiast. There has been no confirmation of a purchase by the businessman, but his recent social media posts from his travels in Italy suggest that he will soon take delivery of the Lamborghini Revuelto in Vietnam.
Specifically, Minh “Nhua” took a tour of the Lamborghini supercar museum, which showcases the brand’s evolution from its early days to the present. Notably, before taking delivery of the electric-powered coupe Spectre, Minh “Nhua” also visited the headquarters of Rolls-Royce. Therefore, his recent social media posts about visiting the Lamborghini museum could be an indirect confirmation of his upcoming acquisition of the hybrid supercar.
The on-the-road price of the Lamborghini Revuelto in Vietnam is expected to exceed 50 billion VND, comparable to the price of the Ferrari SF90 Spider convertible supercar, two of which are already in the country. As Lamborghini’s first commercially available plug-in hybrid (PHEV) supercar, the Revuelto has garnered significant attention. While it shares the same V12 engine as its predecessors, it is 17 kg lighter and produces an impressive 825 horsepower at 9,250 rpm, a substantial increase of 125 horsepower over the Aventador.
When combined with an electric motor, the Lamborghini Revuelto’s power plant delivers a staggering total output of 1,015 horsepower, making it the brand’s first commercial supercar to surpass the 1,000-horsepower mark.
These impressive specifications enable the Lamborghini Revuelto LB744 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds, reach 200 km/h in under 7 seconds, and attain a top speed of 350 km/h.
Compared to its predecessor, the Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae, the Revuelto accelerates faster but has a slightly lower top speed. Even when pitted against the Ferrari SF90 Stradale, the Lamborghini Revuelto, with its more powerful engine and higher horsepower, matches the former’s 0-100 km/h acceleration. Impressively, the Lamborghini Revuelto boasts a fuel economy of just 11.86 liters per 100 km, a significant improvement over the Aventador’s consumption rate of 22 to 31 liters per 100 km.
Before considering the Revuelto, Minh “Nhua” has owned several Lamborghini supercars, including the Murcielago LP670-4 SV, one of only 186 units globally, the Aventador in both its standard LP700-4 and limited-edition LP750-4 SV variants, and the super SUV Lamborghini Urus. All of these Lamborghinis were among the first of their kind to arrive in Vietnam, and the Murcielago LP670-4 SV remains the only one of its kind in the country to date.
