May witnessed a series of deep discounts from automakers in the Vietnamese automobile market to stimulate consumption. Alongside Korean, Japanese, and Chinese cars, vehicles from European brands were also on promotion during the mid-quarter month.
Skoda Offers Pre-registration Fee Discounts
On their homepage, Skoda announced a promotion for two SUV models, the Kodiaq and Karog, for May. Last April, the brand’s main products in Vietnam were offered a 50% discount on registration fees, and now the manufacturer has decided to increase the promotion to stimulate consumption amid competition from assembled cars.
The Kodiaq 2.0 TSI is discounted by 50% on the registration fee, equivalent to 70 million VND, by the Czech automobile manufacturer. Customers who place an order and complete the payment procedure before May 31 will also have their warranty extended from three to five years.

The Ambition 1.4 TSI version is currently offered with up to 100% of the registration fee, equivalent to 110-118 million VND depending on the registration location. In the Vietnamese market, the Skoda Kodiaq is priced from 1.19 to 1.4 billion VND, depending on the version.
Both the Ambition and Style versions of the 5-seat SUV Karoq are supported with 100% of the registration fee, equivalent to about 100 million VND depending on the registration location. In addition to the discount, customers who purchase the Skoda Karoq will also receive a set of genuine accessories, including side steps, steel pedal pads, Prestige velvet floor mats, and aluminum alloy door sills.
Skoda Vietnam is selling the Karoq with a listed price ranging from 999 million to 1.089 billion VND. After the promotion, the price of this SUV will be around 900-989 million VND, depending on the registration location.
The Skoda brand officially launched in the Vietnamese market last September with two SUV models, the Karoq and Kodiaq. Both vehicles are imported from the Czech Republic and distributed by TC Motor, which also distributes Hyundai automobiles in Vietnam.
Volvo Offers Discounts on a Range of Vehicles
According to a Volvo dealer in Ho Chi Minh City, all products of the Swedish brand are currently on promotion with discounts ranging from 200 to 400 million VND.
The Volvo XC60 Ultimate is offered with a 50% discount on the registration fee. In addition, customers also receive a one-year hull insurance, three years of maintenance, and a voucher for genuine accessories. The warranty period is also extended to five years. The car is priced from 2.32 to 2.89 billion VND.
The successor to the XC60 Ultimate, the all-electric XC60 Recharge, is also on promotion this May. Customers who purchase and complete the payment procedure before May 31 will receive a 50% discount on the registration fee and three years of free maintenance worth 60 million VND. In addition, the first ten customers who complete the payment when ordering the XC60 Recharge in May will receive a three-day, two-night resort voucher worth 23 million VND.

In Vietnam, the Volkswagen Tiguan is priced at 1.99 billion VND. After the promotion, customers can purchase this SUV for approximately 1.69 billion VND.
The Teramont base model, priced at around 2.5 billion VND, is discounted to 2.09 billion VND. Customers who purchase the Volkswagen Touareg for 2.99 billion VND will also receive a promotion, lowering the price to 2.69 billion VND in May.
While not offered with a cash discount like other products of the same brand, the Teramont has an upgraded version that optimizes the driving experience. This version marks the milestone of 2,000 Teramonts on the road in Vietnam. With a listed price of 2.138 billion VND, the Teramont Limited is equipped with 11 additional options, including Dynaudio speakers, electric side steps with lights, 3M premium film, wireless charging, R-line Nappa leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a multi-functional folding table.
