The Hyundai Grand i10 is a popular choice for those seeking an affordable and reliable vehicle.

Since 2023, the Vietnamese market has witnessed the arrival of new-generation vehicles across various segments. Here are the top 5 most affordable cars currently available in the market for consumers to consider.

VinFast VF 3

On May 7, VinFast introduced the VF 3, an electric car positioned in the affordable mini segment. During the first booking period, which lasted for two days from May 13 to 15, customers could reserve the VF 3 at a special price of VND 235 million for the battery leasing version and VND 315 million for the battery purchasing version.

After May 15, the listed price of the VinFast VF 3 ranges from VND 240 million to VND 322 million, depending on the version. Currently, VF 3 buyers are still eligible for a 4% discount when paying in cash, equivalent to a savings of VND 9.6 million to VND 12.88 million.

VinFast also offers attractive financing programs, allowing buyers to borrow up to 80% of the car’s value over 8 years. For example, for the battery leasing version priced at VND 235 million, customers can choose to pay a down payment of VND 70.5 million and then make monthly installments of approximately VND 3.13 million, covering the principal, interest, and battery leasing cost.

Taking into account all the promotions and support offered by the manufacturer during the initial booking period, the VinFast VF 3 is currently the most competitively priced vehicle in its segment and the most affordable car in the Vietnamese market.

Wuling MiniEV

Another electric car that falls into the category of the most affordable cars in Vietnam is the Wuling MiniEV. Introduced by TMT Motors in 2023, the Wuling Hongguang has become a popular choice for those seeking an affordable entry into the automotive market.

With a starting price of just VND 239 million and a top price of VND 282 million, the Wuling Hongguang has made car ownership more accessible to a wider range of consumers in Vietnam.

In fact, the actual price of the MiniEV at dealerships is even more attractive, currently sitting below the VND 200 million mark after applicable discounts.

Toyota Wigo

After a brief hiatus, the Toyota Wigo made a surprise comeback in June 2023 and quickly rose to become the second best-selling car in the A-segment, outperforming the Kia Morning. In April of this year, the Wigo even surpassed the Hyundai Grand i10 in sales, claiming the top spot in its segment.

Despite being the only imported car in this group, the Toyota Wigo boasts a competitive price tag. The E version is priced at VND 360 million, while the G version is offered at VND 405 million.

Both versions are powered by a 1.2L 3-cylinder engine that produces 87 horsepower and 113 Nm of torque. However, the E version comes with a manual transmission, while the G version features a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).

The Wigo also includes safety features such as ABS, EBD, BA, vehicle stability control, traction control, and hill-start assist. The G version takes it a step further with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.

Hyundai Grand i10

The Hyundai Grand i10 has consistently been a top choice in the A-segment for the past 2-3 years. With a starting price of just VND 360 million for the standard hatchback with a manual transmission, the Grand i10 offers excellent value. The most expensive version, the sedan with an automatic transmission, is priced at VND 455 million.

During the month of May, TC Motor offered promotions on several car models, including the Grand i10. Customers could choose from two incentive packages: a 50% discount on registration fees or a 0% interest rate for the first year of financing.

Additionally, customers who purchased the Grand i10 and completed their payment in May were eligible for a complimentary one-year physical damage insurance policy. By opting for the 50% discount on registration fees, buyers could save approximately VND 18 million to VND 22.5 million on the Grand i10, which is available in two body styles (sedan and hatchback) and a total of six versions.

Kia Morning

The all-new Kia Morning, introduced by Thaco in Vietnam, boasts a more competitive price tag compared to its predecessor. The manual transmission version is now priced at VND 349 million, a reduction of VND 20 million from the 2023 model. The AT and Premium versions are offered at VND 371 million to VND 399 million.

The X-Line and GT-Line versions, the most expensive in the lineup, are priced at VND 424 million. Powered by a 1.25L engine that delivers 83 horsepower and 122 Nm of torque, the Kia Morning comes in six different versions.
