On July 11, 2024, Toyota Motor Vietnam officially announced its business results and outstanding activities in the first half of 2024. Accordingly, in the first half of the year, Toyota sold a total of 22,338 vehicles to Vietnamese customers. Including Lexus sales, Toyota Vietnam leads the passenger car market with 23,025 vehicles sold in the first six months of 2024.
This brings the cumulative sales of the Toyota brand in Vietnam to 926,345 vehicles. The corresponding cumulative figure for Lexus since its entry into the Vietnamese market is 12,963 vehicles.
In addition, Toyota Vietnam produced 11,224 vehicles in the first half of this year, bringing its cumulative production close to 700,000 units. Meanwhile, in terms of services, Toyota welcomed over 937,000 customers, an increase of 8% compared to the same period in 2023. This result raises the total number of vehicles using official Toyota services to nearly 19 million.
Toyota’s component and spare parts export activities generated revenue of nearly $29 million, while cumulative revenue exceeded $892 million. Currently, Toyota has 60 suppliers, including 13 Vietnamese suppliers, and the total number of localized products has reached nearly 1,000 various products.
Moreover, Toyota Vietnam contributed more than $117 million to the state budget in the first half of this year. The total budget contribution has accumulated to over $13 billion.

In the first half of 2024, the best-selling Toyota model in Vietnam remained the Vios, with cumulative sales reaching 4,215 units. The cumulative sales of this B-segment sedan have reached 245,894 vehicles.
Ranking second is the Yaris Cross, with cumulative sales of 3,750 units in the first six months. This result is impressive, considering that the Toyota Yaris Cross was just launched in the Vietnamese market in September 2023. After a price reduction to 650 million VND for the gasoline version and 765 million VND for the hybrid version earlier this year, this B-segment SUV has become even more popular. From September 2023 to date, Vietnamese customers have purchased 6,815 units of the Toyota Yaris Cross.
The third best-selling Toyota model in Vietnam in the first half of 2024 was the Veloz Cross, with 2,767 units sold. This brings the total sales of the Toyota Veloz Cross in Vietnam to 26,192 units.
Additionally, Toyota has another popular model, the Corolla Cross, with cumulative sales reaching 58,312 units. In May 2024, this B-segment SUV was upgraded and is gradually regaining its position in the market.

Currently, Toyota is the brand with the most hybrid models in its product range in the Vietnamese market. The company offers six hybrid models, including the Corolla Cross, Corolla Altis, Yaris Cross, Camry, Innova Cross, and Alphard. In the first half of 2024, Toyota distributed 1,682 hybrid vehicles to Vietnamese customers. After four years in the Vietnamese market, Toyota’s hybrid vehicles have achieved cumulative sales of 10,156 units.
In addition to its business operations, Toyota continues to contribute to society through its annual social contribution activities in four areas: Traffic Safety, Environmental Protection, Social Culture, and Education & Human Resources Development. In the first half of the year, Toyota initiated and implemented various activities such as the Toyota Road Safety Program for Children, the Traffic Safety Initiative Contest, the Dream Car Art Contest, and the Toyota U9 National Football Cup. To date, the total amount contributed by Toyota to social activities has exceeded $30.8 million.

On April 21, 2022, Toyota Vietnam was honored to receive the Golden Dragon Award at the 21st annual Golden Dragon program. This year, Toyota Vietnam was recognized as one of the exemplary FDI enterprises driving green growth, marking the 20th consecutive year that Toyota Vietnam has been honored at the Golden Dragon Awards.
