Vietnamese businessman and car enthusiast, Minh “Nhựa,” has recently sparked excitement in the country’s automotive community by announcing his plans to purchase the limited-edition Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 hypercar. With only 112 units produced and a price tag of $2.62 million, Minh “Nhựa”‘s upcoming acquisition has caught the attention of car enthusiasts nationwide.
Minh “Nhựa”‘s decision to opt for the Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 came as a surprise to many, as he had previously expressed interest in another Lamborghini model, the Revuelto. The addition of the Countach LPI 800-4 to his garage has also fueled speculations about the fate of his Pagani Huayra.
There have been rumors circulating about the potential sale of the Pagani Huayra, following the arrival of the McLaren Elva in Vietnam. However, nearly a year has passed, and the Pagani Huayra still holds a place in Minh “Nhựa”‘s prestigious car collection. Furthermore, his recent announcement about purchasing the Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 has sparked speculations about the formation of a renowned “trio” of hypercars.
In the latest development, Minh “Nhựa” has transferred the ownership of the Pagani Huayra to Mr. Phạm Văn Mười. After nearly seven years of owning the car, Minh “Nhựa” is now officially registered as the owner of the Pagani Huayra. Additionally, he has also acquired the unique license plate number 51L-00405, with the number 405 holding a special significance for his family.
If Minh “Nhựa” decides to retain the million-dollar Pagani Huayra and add the Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 to his garage, he will become the second person in Vietnam to own three hypercar masterpieces simultaneously. The first is Mr. Đặng Lê Nguyên Vũ, who possesses the Porsche 918 Spyder, McLaren Senna, Bugatti Veyron, and is awaiting the delivery of the Aston Martin Valhalla and a pair of Ford GTs, each valued at over $1 million.
The Pagani Huayra, also known as the “god of wind,” is a rare and coveted supercar. Minh “Nhựa” acquired this masterpiece from a specialized supercar dealership in Dubai, and while the exact purchase price remains undisclosed, some sources estimate that the car cost Minh “Nhựa” around $80 million to get it on the roads in Vietnam. Only 100 units of the Pagani Huayra coupe were produced worldwide.
Turning our attention to the other two hypercars in Minh “Nhựa”‘s collection, the McLaren Elva and the Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4, both were ordered directly from their respective manufacturers. The McLaren Elva arrived in Vietnam last year but is still undergoing emissions testing and registration processes. Minh “Nhựa” revealed that the Elva set him back nearly $200 million, a significant increase from the previously disclosed amount of $143 million.
As for the Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4, details about its color, serial number, and local pricing in Vietnam remain unknown. What we do know is that the starting price for this limited-edition Lamborghini is approximately $61 million, and by purchasing directly from the manufacturer, Minh “Nhựa” will avoid the substantial markups often associated with pre-owned supercars.
