According to sales data released by the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA) and TC Motor, vehicle sales in the first half of 2024 saw only a slight increase compared to the same period last year. This stagnant growth can be attributed to the lingering effects of the economic downturn and the absence of government policies reducing the registration fee by 50% for domestically produced and assembled vehicles.

However, contrary to predictions, most of the models in the top 10 best-selling vehicles in Vietnam for the first half of 2024 witnessed a decline in sales.

Ford Everest claimed the fifth spot, enhancing the brand’s visibility in the market. Its cumulative sales in the first half of 2024 showed a modest increase of 31 units compared to the same period last year.

Mitsubishi Xforce, a newcomer to the market since March 2024, quickly gained traction and secured the seventh position. Following closely is the Toyota Yaris Cross, with a total of 3,750 units sold.
