According to Tri Thức – Znews‘s understanding, several Hyundai dealerships in Vietnam have started taking reservations for the 2024 Hyundai Accent. Dealership staff predict that there will be a total of four trim levels, similar to the current generation, but with a slight price increase in Vietnam.

Specifically, many dealerships are quoting a price of 439 million VND for the manual transmission version of the 2024 Hyundai Accent, which is a 13 million VND increase compared to the current selling price. The automatic transmission version is expected to be priced at 489 million VND, while the special edition is predicted to cost 529 million VND.

According to information from these dealerships, the 2024 Hyundai Accent will introduce a new high-end trim level, similar to other Hyundai passenger car models in the Vietnamese market, such as the Hyundai Creta, Hyundai Elantra, Hyundai Custin, and Hyundai Santa Fe. The expected price for this trim is 569 million VND.

At another dealership, a staff member mentioned that the price is likely to increase by 10-20 million VND for all trim levels. Staff at the dealerships stated that they couldn’t confirm the delivery date yet.

According to the plan, the Hyundai Accent will be officially launched in Vietnam by the end of May. At that time, details about the equipment, trim levels, and pricing of this B-segment sedan will be revealed.

Last March, the Hyundai Verna (the name given to the Hyundai Accent in the Indian market) was introduced with significant changes in both design and features.

The front of the 2024 Hyundai Accent features a slim LED daytime running light bar that stretches across the width of the car, similar to the Hyundai Stargazer X MPV available in Vietnam. The LED headlights are positioned just below, seamlessly connecting to the large grille with a honeycomb pattern.

The rear of the 2024 Hyundai Accent bears a strong resemblance to the Hyundai Elantra. The new generation of this B-segment sedan boasts a sharp and angular design, complemented by LED taillights that span the entire width of the vehicle.

In the Indian market, the top-of-the-line Hyundai Accent is equipped with a sunroof, automatic climate control, and a rear armrest, while the front seats are electrically adjustable in four ways and offer both cooling and heating functions.

The highest trim level of the Hyundai Accent in India also features the SmartSense active safety package, which includes features such as pre-collision warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot warning, lane departure warning, and open door warning, along with adaptive cruise control.

It remains to be seen which engine options Hyundai will offer for the Accent 2024 in the Vietnamese market. However, in India, customers can choose between a 1.5L naturally aspirated gasoline engine (producing 113 horsepower and 144 Nm of torque) or a 1.5L turbocharged gasoline engine that delivers an impressive 158 horsepower and 253 Nm of torque.

In the Vietnamese market, the Hyundai Accent is currently the best-selling B-segment sedan, with sales of 3,096 units in the first four months. Its closest competitors, the Toyota Vios and Honda City, trail behind with sales figures of 2,680 and 2,570 units, respectively.

If the predicted price range of 439-569 million VND for the 2024 Hyundai Accent holds true, the Korean brand’s B-segment sedan will still offer competitive pricing compared to its direct rivals, such as the Toyota Vios (458-545 million VND) and Honda City (559-609 million VND).
