Just a few days ago, images of a Vietnamese-American millionaire’s McLaren 720S Spider supercar from Nghe An emerged online, showcasing a stunning DarwinPro body kit upgrade. This McLaren is one of the first in the country to receive such an extreme makeover, inspired by the track-only McLaren Senna GTR. However, the photos indicated that the modifications were still a work in progress, as the rear wing remained in its standard form.

Fast forward to July 13, 2024, and the latest images of the McLaren 720S Spider with its new wings have sent ripples of excitement through the automotive community. The addition of exclusive details from the McLaren Senna GTR race car has transformed the Spider into an even more aggressive and aesthetically pleasing machine.

Now, the first McLaren 720S Spider in Vietnam with the DarwinPro package is complete. The super-aerodynamic front end is complemented by a striking rear assembly, featuring a massive wing akin to the McLaren Senna GTR race car.

This rear wing is an absolute statement piece, fixed firmly to both sides of the rear haunches—a design rarely seen outside of motorsports, and one that complements rather than interferes with the car’s active aero. Crafted from lightweight carbon fiber, it’s a muscular addition. The rear diffuser has also been swapped out for a more aggressive design.

Beyond the rear assembly, the front end of this modified McLaren demands attention with a completely redesigned bumper. The new front bumper of the McLaren 720S Spider by DarwinPro extends outward, hugging the wheels and showcasing a two-tier design reminiscent of the McLaren Senna GTR racer.

The extended front bumper of the McLaren 720S Spider by DarwinPro exudes attitude, wrapping around the sides of the car. Large side gills further accentuate the car’s presence when viewed head-on. A new headlight air vent cover completes the front-end transformation.

The DarwinPro treatment also includes a new carbon fiber hood with functional vents, similar to the race-spec Senna GTR. Above the front wheels, additional air vents have been incorporated for a more menacing appearance. The pièce de résistance, however, is the massive rear wing, though the owner has opted to retain the smaller carbon fiber wing for the time being.

The DarwinPro body kit for the McLaren 720S Spider starts at $18,550 (approximately 430 million VND), though the company notes that this price only includes items in stock and does not factor in additional options or shipping to Vietnam.

It is unclear if this McLaren 720S Spider has received any performance upgrades or an aftermarket exhaust system. In its stock form, the McLaren 720S Spider is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 710 horsepower and 568 lb-ft of torque. Mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission, it catapults the supercar from 0 to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 212 mph.
