Car enthusiasts in Ho Chi Minh City were treated to a spectacular display of nearly VND 250 billion worth of supercars owned by businessman Hoang Kim Khanh over the weekend. The event was organized to promote a car aesthetics business in Hai Duong.
The highlight of the convoy was the megacar Koenigsegg Regera, which had just completed the procedure for a Cambodian license plate renewal. However, the absence of the hypercar McLaren Senna left car enthusiasts disappointed as they were unable to witness the full collection of expensive cars owned by Hoang Kim Khanh and his wife.
Despite the absence of the McLaren Senna, the presence of the Koenigsegg Regera, Lamborghini Aventador S LP740-4, Ferrari 488 Pista Spider, Porsche 911 Turbo S, and Aston Martin V8 Vantage, along with other sports cars, supercars, and SUVs, still made the event a thrilling spectacle.
The Koenigsegg Regera, a hybrid supercar with a 5.0-liter V8 biturbo engine and three electric motors, was purchased by Hoang Kim Khanh from a specialized dealership in the USA for $2.9 million, equivalent to VND 69 billion.
This megacar then made its way to Cambodia, where it took almost half a year to register with a Cambodian license plate. In January 2022, the car was transported through Tay Ninh border gate and eventually arrived at Hoang Kim Khanh’s residence.
The Koenigsegg Regera, a million-dollar supercar, boasts a combined output of over 1,500 horsepower and 2,000 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and has a top speed of 400 km/h. At speeds of 250 km/h, the Regera is capable of generating downforce of up to 450 kg.
