Kia Sonet: 601 Units Sold
Vietnamese consumers purchased 601 Kia Sonets in June 2024, reflecting a remarkable 64.2% growth rate. Not only did it achieve the highest growth rate among its peers, but the Kia Sonet also soared to the top position in the A-class SUV segment. With a total of 3,419 units sold in the first six months of the year, the Kia Sonet continues to dominate the segment.
Kia Sonet – A Class SUV with a Modern and Youthful Design
Mid-June 2024 marked the official launch of the latest Kia Sonet in Vietnam. This new model is offered in three different versions, with prices ranging from 539 to 624 million VND.
Despite having the highest price tag in its segment, the Kia Sonet captivates buyers with its fresh and youthful exterior design, along with a comprehensive suite of convenience and safety features. It boasts LED lighting, 16-inch alloy wheels, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, a 10.25-inch central touchscreen display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, navigation, a sunroof, a six-speaker audio system, cruise control, and a manual speed limit assist function.
Under the hood, the 2024 Kia Sonet retains its predecessor’s 1.5L four-cylinder gasoline engine, delivering 113 horsepower and 144 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic continuously variable transmission.
Toyota Raize: 403 Units Sold
As mentioned earlier, the Toyota Raize was the only A-class SUV to experience a decline in sales. With 403 units sold in June, it witnessed a 6.9% drop in performance. This, coupled with the impressive rise of the Kia Sonet, pushed the Toyota Raize to second place in the segment. For the first six months of 2024, cumulative sales of this Japanese model also placed it second, with a total of 1,967 units sold.
Toyota Raize – The Most Affordable A-Class SUV in Vietnam
Currently, the Toyota Raize holds the title of the most affordable A-class SUV in Vietnam, with a price tag of 498 million VND. However, compared to its competitors, this model falls short in terms of variety, as it is only offered in a single version, limiting customer choices.
When it comes to features, the Toyota Raize holds its own against its rivals. It comes equipped with LED lighting, 17-inch alloy wheels, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 9-inch central touchscreen display, push-button start, automatic climate control, hill-start assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, and six airbags.
The Toyota Raize is powered by a turbocharged 1.0L gasoline engine that produces 98 horsepower and 140 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
Hyundai Venue: 342 Units Sold
Consistent with previous months, the Hyundai Venue maintained its position as the least-sold A-class SUV in Vietnam. However, it did experience a 15.9% growth in sales for June, with 342 units sold. For the first six months of 2024, a total of 1,515 Hyundai Venues found new owners.
Hyundai Venue – Attractive Pricing and Eye-Catching Design
A key factor contributing to the Hyundai Venue’s improved performance in June 2024 was its new pricing strategy. In mid-June, the model underwent a price adjustment, with the 1.0 Turbo version now priced at 499 million VND and the 1.0 Turbo Special version at 539 million VND.
In addition to its competitive pricing, the Hyundai Venue boasts a host of attractive features. It comes equipped with LED lighting, 16-inch alloy wheels, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, a Type-C USB charging port, a six-speaker audio system, push-button start, smart key, automatic climate control with rear vents, six airbags, a rearview camera, parking sensors, cruise control, speed limit control, tire pressure monitoring, and automatic headlights.
Moreover, the Hyundai Venue stands out with the most powerful engine in its class—a turbocharged 1.0L three-cylinder engine that generates an impressive 120 horsepower and 172 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
