The Vietnamese auto market in June 2024 saw a slight growth compared to the previous month, but the buying power has not really recovered. To stimulate demand, a series of car manufacturers and dealers have launched new promotion programs in July 2024. The Czech brand Skoda is no exception.
At some dealerships, the Skoda Karoq and Kodiaq models are currently being offered with discounts of up to VND 200 million. This promotion includes both the official brand promotion program and the dealer’s own support policy.
In July, both the Skoda Kodiaq and Karoq lines are offered with registration fee incentives by the brand. Specifically, the Skoda Karoq is supported with a 100% registration fee for both the Ambition 1.4 TSI and Style 1.4 TSI versions. Meanwhile, the Skoda Kodiaq is offered a 50% registration fee discount on the Style 2.0 TSI version and 100% on the Ambition 1.4 TSI version.
Currently, the Skoda Karoq is priced at VND 999 million for the Ambition 1.4 TSI version and VND 1,089 billion for the Style 1.4 TSI version. Therefore, the registration fee incentive for the car will be equivalent to VND 99-120 million for the Ambition 1.4 TSI version and VND 109-130 million for the Style 1.4 TSI version, depending on the province or city of registration.
The selling price of the Skoda Kodiaq in the two Ambition 1.4 TSI and Style 2.0 TSI versions is VND 1,189 billion and VND 1,409 billion, respectively. Thus, when buying this mid-size SUV in July 2024, customers will save an amount ranging from VND 119-142 million for the Ambition 1.4 TSI version and VND 70-84 million for the Style 2.0 TSI version.
What’s more, both Skoda models come with an extended warranty from 3 years to 5 years or 150,000 km, whichever comes first. In addition, there are gifts including a set of genuine accessories, physical insurance, and civil liability insurance for 1 year, but they cannot be exchanged for cash.
The accessory kit for the Skoda Kodiaq Ambition 1.4 TSI includes a pedal pad, a door sill pad, side steps, and floor mats. The two versions of the Skoda Karoq are given a similar accessory kit but with an additional set of 4 rims. The Skoda Kodiaq Style 2.0 TSI, on the other hand, is only given a rear headrest.

Official promotion program for the two models Skoda Karoq and Kodiaq in July 2024.
The Skoda Karoq and Kodiaq were officially launched in the Vietnamese market in September 2023. Skoda Karoq is a C-size SUV, while Kodiaq is positioned in the D-segment SUV class. As they are imported from Europe, these two models are quite expensive compared to their Korean and Japanese competitors. Unattractive pricing, a design that is quite picky, and a new brand name have made the Skoda duo less popular in Vietnam.
The Skoda brand currently only sells the Karoq and Kodiaq models in Vietnam.
In 2024, the Skoda brand plans to introduce two more models in the Vietnamese market. It is predicted that these two models will be the Skoda Kushaq and Slavia. While the Skoda Kushaq is a B-segment SUV, the Slavia belongs to the B-segment sedan class. Compared to the Skoda Karoq and Kodiaq duo, these two new models are expected to be more affordable.
