Earlier this May, Ferrari, the renowned supercar manufacturer, officially unveiled the highly-anticipated replacement for its 812 model—the Ferrari 12Cilindri. This new model features a surprising evolution in design and interior, sparking much debate and becoming one of the brand’s most controversial designs to date.
Putting aside the reviews, the Ferrari 12Cilindri supercars have started to be delivered to dealerships worldwide, giving us a true sense of their design. The supercar featured in this article sports an ivory white exterior with black and carbon fiber accents, creating a striking contrast. Its stylish five-spoke wheels are finished in two contrasting colors, complemented by red brake calipers.
The Ferrari 12Cilindri is set to replace the Ferrari 812 Superfast, two of which have already made their way to Vietnam. This prancing horse model has confirmed allocations for two individuals: Cường “Đô-la” and Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu.
The design of the Ferrari 12Cilindri is a tribute to the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona, featuring an irremovable black stripe on the hood, a deliberate and unchangeable design choice. Its interior takes inspiration from the Purosangue and Roma, and it is the brand’s first model to feature a fully digital instrument cluster.
This supercar combines active and passive aerodynamics to improve its drag coefficient compared to the 812 Superfast. At the rear, a wing improves downforce at high speeds. One side of the wing can tilt up to 10° at speeds above 60 km/h, acting as an air brake and generating 50 kg of downforce at high speeds.
The Ferrari 12Cilindri rides on 21-inch wheels at the front and rear, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport S5 or Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersport tires. Its braking system consists of 398 mm front and 360 mm rear discs, electronically controlled via “brake-by-wire” technology. The car also features four-wheel steering.
The real excitement of this model lies under the hood. The Ferrari 12Cilindri is a purebred, featuring only a gasoline engine and no electric motors. Its 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine produces a staggering 819 horsepower, with a remarkable redline of 9,500 rpm.
According to Ferrari, the hardtop version of the 12Cilindri will be equipped with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, reach 200 km/h in 7.9 seconds, and attain a top speed of 340 km/h.
The Ferrari 12Cilindri Spider is slightly slower, taking 2.95 seconds to hit 100 km/h and 8.2 seconds to reach 200 km/h. The Coupe version weighs in at 1,560 kg, while the Spider comes in at 1,620 kg.
