All three BYD models are developed based on the company’s exclusive e-Platform 3.0 platform. They are also equipped with an 8-in-1 drive system, Blade batteries, a high-efficiency heat pump system, and fast DC charging technology, allowing for a 30% to 80% charge in just 30 minutes.

The three BYD models are based on the e-Platform 3.0 chassis.

Specifically, the BYD Dolphin can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and has a range of 405 km on a full charge. The BYD Atto 3 has similar figures of 7.3 seconds and 480 km, respectively. As for the BYD Seal, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and travel a distance of 520 km thanks to its 82.5 kWh battery capacity.

BYD electric vehicles are equipped with Blade batteries.

While the BYD Dolphin is a hatchback, the Atto 3 belongs to the C-segment SUV category. The BYD Seal, on the other hand, is positioned in the D-segment sedan class.

Both the Dolphin and Seal belong to BYD’s Ocean product line, drawing design inspiration from the ocean. The Dolphin’s front and rear lights are designed to mimic the movement of dolphins, while the Atto 3, part of the Dynasty line, features dragon-inspired headlights.

In line with the tradition of Chinese-made cars, the new BYD trio entering the Vietnamese market boasts a range of convenient and comprehensive features. The BYD Dolphin is equipped with a 12.8-inch central touch screen that supports voice command functions. The other two models, the Atto 3 and Seal, both feature a 15.6-inch rotating screen.

Additionally, the BYD Atto 3 features interior ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, and a guitar-inspired door speaker system. Meanwhile, the BYD Seal offers a W-HUD windshield display, a panoramic sunroof, a Dynaudio sound system, and sports seats.

The interior of these vehicles is not just comfortable but also practical. The BYD Dolphin, for instance, has multiple storage areas throughout the cabin and a standard cargo capacity of 345 liters, which expands to 1,310 liters when the rear seats are folded down. The BYD Atto 3 offers a similar cargo capacity of 1,340 liters.

Across all three models, BYD offers a mobile charging station feature with a V2L power supply of up to 2.2 kWh. This turns the vehicle into a mobile energy source, capable of powering most electrical devices.

When purchasing any of the three BYD vehicles, customers will receive a set of genuine gifts, including a handheld charger, a free-installed 7 kW wall-mounted charger, and a power converter. BYD cars in Vietnam come with a 6-year or 150,000-km warranty. The batteries are warranted for 8 years or 160,000 km, whichever comes first.

Unfortunately, unlike VinFast, BYD’s strategy does not focus on building charging stations. Instead, they plan to collaborate with major charging station partners, a strategy they have successfully employed in other global markets. This means that, in addition to home charging, BYD vehicle owners can also charge their cars at public charging stations or at the brand’s dealerships.

According to their plan, BYD aims to inaugurate approximately 10 showrooms across Vietnam in July 2024, including locations in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Ba Ria Vung Tau, Thanh Hoa, Quang Ninh, and Bac Giang. Within three years, BYD Vietnam aims to develop a network of 100 showrooms nationwide.
