The representative of the Trung Nguyen Group shared with us that Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu will be bringing 18 supercars to the Gumball 3000 2024, the world’s largest automotive event, which will take place in Vietnam on September 14-15, 2024. This news has garnered a lot of interest from readers. Compared to the previous announcement, the number of cars has increased by three, with the change only in the number of Ferrari cars.

Specifically, there will be 15 Ferrari supercars from the Trung Nguyen team participating in the event, while Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu revealed that he owns more than 30 cars. Therefore, he had to carefully choose the most unique and rare cars to surprise his friends worldwide with his car collection. Currently, many people are curious about which Ferrari models will be displayed. In today’s article, we will list some of the notable cars that may be showcased, and among them, the Ferrari 812 Superfast is likely to remain in the garage.

Ferrari F8

The Ferrari F8 is the newest supercar to join the Trung Nguyen team’s collection, and Mr. Vu currently owns the Ferrari F8 Spider in Bianco Avus white, the only one of its kind in Vietnam. The car has been fitted with a custom exhaust system but has never been driven by the businessman. Therefore, the Ferrari F8 Spider is likely to be included in the official selection of the Trung Nguyen team for Gumball 3000.

The “heart” of the Ferrari F8 Spider convertible supercar is a 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces a maximum output of 711 horsepower and a peak torque of 770 Nm, equivalent to the Ferrari 488 Pista Spider also owned by Mr. Vu.

This power is transmitted to the rear wheels of the car through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, allowing the Ferrari F8 Spider convertible supercar of Trung Nguyen Chairman to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, reaching a top speed of 340 km/h. However, when the convertible top is open, the maximum speed is limited to 325 km/h.

Ferrari 488 Pista Spider

It would be very attractive if the Ferrari 488 Pista Spider convertible supercar were chosen by the Trung Nguyen Chairman to be displayed among the 15 prancing horse cars at Gumball 3000. The Ferrari 488 Pista Spider is a high-performance model and is also the most expensive Ferrari supercar currently in “Qua” Vu’s garage.

The Ferrari 488 Pista Spider convertible supercar is powered by a 3.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces a maximum output of 710 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 770 Nm at 3,000 rpm.

The engine of the Ferrari 488 Pista Spider is paired with a 7-speed F1 dual-clutch transmission, allowing the convertible supercar to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.85 seconds, reaching a top speed of 340 km/h.

Ferrari 458 Speciale

The high-performance Ferrari lineup of “Qua” Vu also includes the one-of-a-kind Ferrari 458 Speciale supercar in the Vietnamese market. The car was brought into the country in 2016, after which Mr. Vu sold it and then bought it back two years ago.

The Ferrari 458 Speciale can be considered the last high-performance Ferrari model equipped with a naturally aspirated V8 engine. Because of this, both the Coupe and convertible versions were produced in limited quantities as the Italian automaker believed that the rich would flock to buy them. A total of 3,000 Ferrari 458 Speciale units were produced, with only one making its way to Vietnam.

While the Ferrari 430 Scuderia only had minor differences compared to the standard version, the Ferrari 458 Speciale is a whole different beast when compared to the Ferrari 458 Italia. Firstly, the car features a new, more sporty front bumper with air vents on both sides of the headlamps, and a completely redesigned hood with a double-stripe accent that runs up to the roof and down to the rear of the car.

In addition, the headlights are perforated and adorned with carbon fiber accents for a more aggressive look. The side skirts are equipped with new side mirrors, and the rear of the car features a small spoiler, a new bumper, and a single, round tailpipe positioned high up, which are telltale signs of a high-performance Ferrari model. The interior of the Ferrari 458 Speciale features black and red leather seats with carbon fiber accents and racing-style safety belts. The central control panel is fully trimmed in carbon fiber, and the instrument cluster consists of three separate regions.

The Ferrari 458 Speciale is powered by a 4.5-liter V8 engine that produces a maximum output of 607 horsepower at 9,000 rpm, 37 horsepower more than the standard version, while the peak torque remains the same at 540 Nm at 6,000 rpm. This power is combined with a 7-speed transmission, allowing the Ferrari 458 Speciale to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds, reaching a top speed of 325 km/h.

Ferrari 430 Scuderia

When it comes to high-performance Ferrari models, we cannot forget the Ferrari 430 Scuderia, which Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu purchased more than three years ago. The car was originally red but has since been wrapped in silver.

At the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show, legendary F1 racer Michael Schumacher appeared at the Ferrari booth to introduce the successor to the 360 Challenge Stradale, the 430 Scuderia, which was set to compete with the Porsche 911 GT2 and the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera, the top contenders at the time.

The name Scuderia means “stable,” reflecting how the supercar not only retains the distinctive design of its predecessor but also incorporates many angular and carbon fiber elements to reduce its weight by 100 kg compared to the standard version. In addition, the Scuderia is also used for racing teams, including Ferrari, which has helped improve the power-to-weight ratio from 2.96 kg/hp to 2.5 kg/hp.

In addition to weight reduction and power enhancement, the single-clutch automatic transmission of the Scuderia has been improved with “Superfast” software, now called “Superfast2,” which reduces shift time by 60 milliseconds. The new traction control system combines F1-Trac traction control from the 599 GTB with electronic differential E-Diff stability control. These cutting-edge technologies were incorporated into the Ferrari 430 Scuderia.

Ferrari engineers modified the intake, exhaust, and ion-sensing knock detection system to allow for a higher compression ratio in the engine, resulting in a maximum output of 503 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 471 Nm of torque at 5,250 rpm. With these specifications, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 319 km/h.

On the outside, the Ferrari 430 Scuderia features a new front bumper with air vents on both sides, lightweight alloy wheels, carbon fiber side skirts and mirror housings, a small rear spoiler, a new rear bumper, and a single, high-mounted tailpipe, which has been a distinctive feature of high-performance Ferrari models for many years. The interior of this particular Ferrari 430 Scuderia features black and red leather seats with carbon fiber accents and manual adjustment buttons. The central control panel bears the emblem of the F1 racing team.

Ferrari F355 Spider

In Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu’s garage, there is also a one-of-a-kind Ferrari F355 Spider in Vietnam, a supercar that the businessman hunted down very secretly. The car was originally red but has since been wrapped in black.

The Ferrari F355 Spider was introduced in 1995, with its design penned by Pininfarina. Initially, the F355 Spider supercar was offered with a 6-speed manual transmission. In 1997, Ferrari began offering the model with an F1 transmission.

During its production run, a total of 3,717 units of the Ferrari F355 Spider supercar were produced, with 2,664 units equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission and the remaining 1,053 units fitted with the modern F1 transmission.

The Ferrari F355 Spider is powered by a 3.5-liter V8 engine that produces a maximum output of 375 horsepower at 8,250 rpm and a peak torque of 363 Nm at 6,000 rpm.

The F355 Spider supercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 295 km/h.

In addition, there are 2 Ferrari 458 Spider units

Ferrari 458 Spider

The Ferrari collection of “Qua” Vu includes up to 6 units of the 458 model, including the 458 Speciale mentioned above. The remaining cars consist of 3 units of the 458 Italia, one of which is a Liberty Walk edition, and 2 units of the 458 Spider. Therefore, it would be fantastic if the 458 Italia, 458 Spider, and 458 Speciale appeared together at Gumball 3000.

Ferrari 488 GTB

There are currently 4 units of the Ferrari 488 GTB in Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu’s garage, indicating the businessman’s strong interest in prancing horse models, especially the 488 and 458 series.
