According to Mercedes-Benz Vietnam (MBV), there will be a change in the company’s senior management in June. Specifically, CEO Bradley Kelly will conclude his term in Vietnam on June 30 and pass the leadership baton to another executive.

Mr. Kelly joined Mercedes-Benz Australia in 2008 and was tasked with establishing the company’s corporate and wholesale sales division before becoming the Director of Sales for Mercedes-Benz Australia and New Zealand.

He was officially appointed as the CEO of MBV in 2019 and led the German luxury car brand to achieve record sales in Vietnam in 2022.

Upon completing his five-year term, Mr. Kelly will hand over the reins to Mr. Gerd Bitterlich, who currently serves as the CEO of Mercedes-Benz Egypt. Upon joining MBV, Mr. Bitterlich will take on the role of Head of Marketing & Sales while also serving as the CEO of Mercedes-Benz Vietnam.

Mr. Bitterlich has held several senior management positions at the Mercedes-Benz global headquarters in Germany and has been part of the leadership team in Luxembourg, China, and South Korea before spending three years as the CEO of Mercedes-Benz Egypt.

He is known for his extensive experience, strong leadership skills, and strategic vision. These changes in the upper echelons of Mercedes-Benz Vietnam are expected to lay a solid foundation for continuing the German carmaker’s success in the Vietnamese market.

Mercedes-Benz is one of the leading German luxury car brands in Vietnam, alongside Audi, BMW, Volkswagen, and Porsche. Before BMW’s collaboration with Thaco to assemble vehicles locally, Mercedes-Benz was the only luxury carmaker with a local assembly plant in Vietnam, serving the domestic market.

The brand offers a diverse range of vehicles in Vietnam, primarily categorized into three groups: Top-End Luxury, Core Luxury, and Entry Luxury. Mercedes-Benz has also introduced several pure electric models to the Vietnamese market, including the EQS Sedan, EQS SUV, EQB, and EQE SUV.
