At the recent launch of the new Audi Q8 e-tron, representatives from Audi Vietnam also revealed that three new models are being introduced to the market: the A6, A6 e-tron, and Q6 e-tron. The exact launch timing of these three models has not yet been disclosed.
Audi A6 Facelift
The Audi A6 Facelift features a subtle design evolution compared to its predecessor, now sporting a single-frame honeycomb grille. It offers basic, advanced, and S line exterior customization packages.
It’s unclear what wheel size the Audi A6 Facelift will have in Vietnam. In Europe, customers can choose wheel sizes ranging from 17 to 21 inches, while in the US, the car is offered with 19-inch wheels.
Inside, the Audi A6 Facelift boasts a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel and a 10.1-inch central infotainment screen. The front seats are electrically adjustable and heated, upholstered in leather.
Under the hood, the Audi A6 Facelift is powered by a 2.0L inline-four turbocharged engine, producing 261 horsepower. Audi also offers a 3.0L turbocharged V6 engine option, generating 335 horsepower.
Audi A6 e-tron
The Audi A6 e-tron made its debut as a concept at the Shanghai Auto Show in April 2021, and now the production version has been officially announced.
Vietnam is likely to be one of the first markets in the world to receive this pure electric sedan.
The A6 e-tron is built on the PPE platform (Premium Platform Electric), with dimensions of 4,961 x 2,144 x 1,440 mm (L x W x H).
It is expected to feature a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, producing 469 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. The luxury electric sedan boasts a 100 kWh battery pack, offering a range of up to 700 km on a single charge.
It also supports 800-watt fast-charging technology, enabling a 10-minute charge for a 300 km range, and charging from 5% to 80% in just 25 minutes.
Audi Q6 e-tron
The Audi Q6 e-tron, launched globally in March 2024, has a starting price of around $80,800 (approximately 2.056 billion VND). When imported to Vietnam, the price is expected to be significantly higher due to various taxes and fees.
Based on the premium PPE platform (Premium Platform Electric) from the Volkswagen Group, the Q6 e-tron shares its underpinnings with the latest Porsche Macan and the A6 e-tron.
It is equipped with a new 100 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, delivering a range of 625 km. Fast DC charging at 270 kW is supported, providing a 255 km range with a 10-minute charge and charging from 10-80% in 21 minutes. Standard AC charging is offered at 11 kW, with an optional 22 kW charger.
The power output of the Q6 e-tron varies depending on the market. In the US, it features a 422-horsepower motor, accelerating from 0-96 km/h in 5 seconds and reaching a top speed of 210 km/h. In Europe, the motor produces 382 horsepower, resulting in a 0-96 km/h sprint time of 5.9 seconds.
