GAC Aion Vietnam recently announced on their official fanpage that they are taking reservations for the new Aion Hyper HT, marking it as the third Aion model to be launched in the country, alongside the ES and Y Plus.
Early bird customers will receive a one-year body insurance and several vouchers. Customers can also fully refund their deposit if they decide not to purchase the vehicle.
The pricing for the Aion Hyper HT in Vietnam has not yet been disclosed by the manufacturer. In Thailand, the starting price of the vehicle is 1,069 million baht (approximately 741 million VND).
According to the announcement, the Aion Hyper HT has overall dimensions of 4,935 x 1,920 x 1,700 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 2,935 mm. With these dimensions, the Hyper HT will be positioned between the VinFast VF 8 and VF 9.
The Hyper HT boasts an exterior design with similarities to the Tesla Model X. The most striking feature is its gull-wing-style rear doors that open and close automatically. Other notable features include the Wind Blade grille, Diamond Cut headlights, Horizon taillights, frameless door windows, 19 or 20-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic glass roof, and a front mudguard camera.
In terms of interior, the Hyper HT borrows design cues from Tesla, featuring a large 14.6-inch central touchscreen and an additional 8.8-inch screen behind the steering wheel.
The center armrest is designed to be floating, providing a large storage space and two wireless charging pads. The seats are equipped with massage and heating functions. The rear seats can recline up to 143 degrees and come with armrests and a work table, resembling a “presidential” chair.
In the Chinese market, the Hyper HT offers two engine options. The standard version is equipped with an electric motor that produces 245 horsepower and 355 Nm of torque.
The higher-end version features a more powerful electric motor, generating approximately 340 horsepower and 430 Nm of torque. This variant has a range of up to 770 km on a single charge, allowing drivers to travel from Hanoi to Danang without needing to recharge.
