VM Motors Unveils SANDEUR S-100: Vietnam’s First Compact Fire Truck
VM MOTORS has recently introduced the SANDEUR S100, Vietnam’s first Pickup fire truck. This innovative vehicle is produced and assembled domestically by VM MOTORS, using Isuzu-branded CKD components from Japan, along with some localized parts.
Designed for maneuverability in narrow alleys and streets, the SANDEUR S-100 boasts a compact size with a body width of 1885 mm and a length of 5815 mm. The 2-meter-long bed provides ample space for essential fire-fighting equipment. The enclosed cabin accommodates five people, making it ideal for a fire-fighting team. With a payload capacity of up to 3,300 kg, the SANDEUR S-100 is the largest in its class among light-duty trucks. It is based on the Sandeur S.100 pickup truck platform, featuring a robust 2-axle (4×4) construction.
As Vietnam’s first fire truck of its kind, the SANDEUR S-100 comes equipped with essential fire-fighting equipment, including a water pump, water tank, foam tank, monitor, and rescue tools. The specialized bed of the Pickup S.100 is fitted with a power take-off (PTO) to drive the fire pump, which is powered by the vehicle’s large 100-liter fuel tank.
The SANDEUR S-100 is constructed similarly to conventional fire trucks, featuring one or two pumps with a flow rate of 20 liters/second (1200 liters/minute), a water tender, a foam tender, and a monitor capable of projecting water up to 50-60 meters. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with a comprehensive suite of rescue tools.
The SANDEUR S-100, a compact fire truck by VM Motors, is the first of its kind to receive full technical certification for road use. It has undergone real-world testing at the Experimental Center of the Industrial Security Department and the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Department of the Ministry of Public Security, proving its compliance with current regulations.
