The official VinFast Indonesia and Thailand social media pages have announced that Kim Yoo Jung is the brand ambassador for the VinFast VF 5 in these two countries.

On July 1st, the VinFast Indonesia and Thailand Instagram pages announced that the Vietnamese automotive manufacturer has officially partnered with the “national little sister” Kim Yoo Jung to introduce the new color range of the VF 5 e-SUV. This also marks the day VinFast announced the opening of sales for this model in Indonesia.

In the video, Kim Yoo Jung shared: “Hello Indonesia! I am Kim Yoo Jung, the brand ambassador of VF 5. The car is now on sale, so please show your support.”

Prior to this announcement, there had been speculations about the collaboration between the actress and the Vietnamese automotive brand, as images of her filming and shooting with the VinFast VF 5 spread on social media platforms such as TikTok and Twitter. These speculations were further confirmed when the VinFast Thailand Instagram account posted about an upcoming fan meeting event with the actress in Bangkok, Thailand, at the end of June.

In addition to interacting with her fans, Kim Yoo Jung also introduced the new color range of the VinFast VF 5 to Thai car enthusiasts.

Kim Yoo Jung, affectionately known as the “national little sister,” has gained widespread popularity through her roles in well-known dramas such as “My Demon,” “Moon-drawn Cloud,” and “The Moon Embracing the Sun.”

The VF 5 is a compact all-electric SUV with dimensions of 3,965 x 1,720 x 1,580 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 2,513 mm.

In Vietnam, the VF 5 is equipped with a front-mounted electric motor that produces 134 horsepower and 135 Nm of torque. It also features a 37.23 kWh LFP battery pack, offering a range of up to 326 kilometers on a single charge according to the NEDC standard. The vehicle is also equipped with fast DC charging, capable of charging the battery from 10% to 70% in just 30 minutes.
