Ford Unveils Pricing for the 2025 Explorer: A Mid-Cycle Refresh with Enhanced Features
Ford has announced the pricing for the 2025 Explorer, which was first introduced in early February 2024. The starting price for the Ford Explorer 2025 ranges from $41,350 to $70,000 (equivalent to 1.05 billion VND to 1.78 billion VND), depending on the trim level.
Compared to its predecessor, the Ford Explorer 2025 features subtle exterior design changes, primarily focused on the front end. It boasts a larger grille, smaller LED headlights, and refreshed air intakes. The taillight design is inherited from the previous Explorer but with sharper graphics that extend to the tailgate. Additionally, Ford has introduced a new Vapor Blue Metallic paint option for the vehicle.
Inside the cabin, the Ford Explorer receives significant upgrades. It is equipped with a 13.2-inch horizontal infotainment screen paired with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The infotainment system integrates Ford’s new “Ford Digital Experience,” developed by Google, and offers wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility and voice command functionality via Google Assistant or Alexa Built-in. Passengers can enjoy video entertainment or play video games on the main screen, while the digital instrument cluster can display navigation maps.
Ford has also improved the quality of materials used in the cabin. Prominent contrast stitching, faux metal trim, and glossy black surfaces have been replaced with more user-friendly and easy-to-clean matte black finishes. Most of the plastic materials have been eliminated from the dashboard and only reappear in the rear. The third-row seating continues to offer limited legroom, suitable only for children or adults on shorter journeys.
Additionally, the Explorer is equipped with wireless charging, eight USB-C ports, and three 12V outlets. It also boasts Ford’s Co-Pilot360 Assist+ suite of advanced safety technologies and the BlueCruise feature, which enables hands-free driving on highways.
Under the hood, the Explorer 2025 offers two engine options. The first is a 2.3L EcoBoost 4-cylinder engine that delivers 300 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque. The second is a more powerful 3.0L EcoBoost V6 engine, generating 400 horsepower and 563 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and are available with either rear-wheel drive or 4WD.
