The Honda Civic 2025: An Upgraded Version Makes Its Way to Southeast Asia
The Honda Civic 2025, which was launched in the US in May 2024, is now expected to make its way to Southeast Asia. This upgraded version features subtle refinements to its exterior. The front of the car boasts a bolder grille that is separated from the headlights, creating a distinctive look.
The grille and central air intake now sport a honeycomb mesh design, replacing the horizontal slats seen on the previous model, giving the car a sportier and more robust appearance. The central air intake on the front bumper has been redesigned for a more angular look, and the car now features new wheels and darkened taillights.
While the interior of the 2025 Civic remains largely unchanged from its predecessor, it has received significant technological upgrades. It now features a new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Google applications and wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay integration, wireless charging, a USB Type-C port, black or gray fabric upholstery, a moonroof, heated seats, and dual-zone climate control.
The Honda Civic 2025 for the Southeast Asian market is expected to be offered with two engine options. The first is a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 178 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque, paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT).
The second option is a hybrid powertrain that combines a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine producing 141 horsepower with two electric motors. One motor functions as a generator, while the other drives the car. The total output of the hybrid system is 184 horsepower and 315 Nm of torque.
After its launch in Thailand, the Honda Civic 2025 is expected to be introduced in other Southeast Asian markets, including Vietnam.
