On June 14, 2024, Hyundai Thanh Cong Vietnam Joint Venture (HTV) officially introduced the New Grand i10 to the Vietnamese market.

The car has 6 different versions with retail prices starting from VND 360 million (including VAT).

Grand i10 is one of the most highly-rated Hyundai models in many world markets, having won numerous prestigious awards such as the Red Dot Design Award, Indian Car of the Year, and AutoBild Magazine’s Quality Award, among others.

In Vietnam, the Grand i10 is also one of the most successful small cars from Hyundai as well as in the entire Vietnamese market, consistently ranking in the top in sales. Since its official launch in Vietnam in 2014, the cumulative sales of this model have reached over 155,000 units in almost 10 years.

The New Grand i10 inherits from the all-new generation introduced by HTV in 2021. With many changes, the New Grand i10 will continue to be a popular small car in the Vietnamese market.

Bold and stylish exterior

Hyundai New Grand i10 boasts a bold and stylish design inspired by the “Rhythmical Tension” concept, combining curves and sharp angles to create a visually appealing look. The roofline has been lowered by 20mm. The New Grand i10 has the largest dimensions in its segment, with the Hatchback version measuring 3,815mm in length, 1,680mm in width, and 1,520mm in height, while the Sedan version is 180mm longer. Both versions have a ground clearance of 157mm and a wheelbase of 2,450mm.

The New Grand i10 features a redesigned, larger grille for a youthful and bold look, enhancing cooling and helping the engine achieve maximum efficiency. The front and rear bumpers have also been redesigned for a sportier look. The LED daytime running lights (DRL) form a unique fishbone shape, adding a stylish touch to the car.

The body is rounded with accentuating lines that highlight the width of the car. It rides on redesigned 15-inch alloy wheels for a modern and robust look.

The hatchback version’s rear features sleek LED taillights, while the sedan version has stylized LED lights that correspond to the headlights, creating a beautiful lighting effect and enhancing safety during braking or night driving.

Other refined design details include chrome door handles, turn signals integrated into the side mirrors, LED high-mounted stop lights, and more, resulting in a modern European-style exterior.

Spacious and feature-rich interior

The Hyundai New Grand i10 continues to be a top choice in its segment with its modern and spacious interior. It features an 8-inch multifunctional center screen for entertainment, supporting Bluetooth/MP3/Radio connectivity, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.

Additionally, the New Grand i10 utilizes an upgraded navigation system developed by Hyundai specifically for the Vietnamese market. Besides basic functions, this system also integrates useful information such as Hyundai 3S service centers nationwide, dining and entertainment options, and more, providing added convenience for customers.

The New Grand i10‘s interior is trimmed in dark leather with red accents for a youthful and modern ambiance. The 3.5-inch driver information display is synchronized with other Hyundai models and includes a tire pressure monitoring system for each wheel.

Other notable features include a push-button start/stop engine, smart keyless entry, a 4-way adjustable steering wheel with function buttons, heated side mirrors, power windows with anti-pinch, and a hatchback-style rear seat that can be fully folded down to create a flat cargo area.

The seats have been redesigned for improved support and comfort. Rear air vents ensure a pleasant journey for all passengers.

The New Grand i10 also comes equipped with cruise control, a feature typically found in higher-segment vehicles. This addition ensures a comfortable, enjoyable, and exciting driving experience.

Reliable engine and superior safety

All versions of the New Grand i10 are powered by the optimized Kappa 1.2L MPi engine, delivering 83 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 114Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. This engine minimizes CO2 emissions thanks to its variable valve timing technology (CVVT), ensuring both performance and fuel efficiency.

The New Grand i10 offers a choice of two transmissions: a 4-speed automatic transmission that balances performance, fuel economy, and durability with advanced technologies such as electromagnetic valves and a flat torque converter; and a 5-speed manual transmission with refined gear shifts for improved responsiveness and fuel efficiency.

The New Grand i10 prioritizes safety with a range of active and passive safety features, including Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), a 4-airbag system, a rearview camera and parking sensors, and an immobilizer anti-theft system.

The New Grand i10 is also a pioneer in its segment for featuring a tire pressure monitoring system, allowing drivers to quickly detect and respond to tire pressure issues, enhancing safety. Additionally, the vehicle’s body structure utilizes high-strength steel components, including up to 65% Advanced High Strength Steel (AHSS), to absorb impact forces in collisions, ensuring the safety of all occupants.

The New Grand i10 boasts an improved chassis and impressive NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) handling, reducing noise and vibration by up to 3 dB through the addition of sound-absorbing compartments in the doors and increased rigidity in the panels and floor. The steering system has also been enhanced for better precision and feedback, providing a more enjoyable driving experience.

Similar to the previous generation, the New Grand i10 is produced at the Hyundai Thanh Cong Ninh Binh plant with modern technology and global quality control standards, ensuring the highest level of quality for Hyundai vehicles.

The New Grand i10 is distributed by Hyundai Thanh Cong with 6 versions and 5 color options. It comes with a 5-year or 100,000km warranty, whichever comes first.
