Hyundai has recently unveiled a mid-life cycle upgrade for its Ioniq 5 model, introducing additional features and improved batteries for extended range.
The overall design of the 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 remains largely unchanged, with subtle refinements to the front bumper and rear spoiler for enhanced aerodynamics. The wheel design has also been updated, now available in 19-inch and 20-inch sizes, depending on the variant.
In terms of interior updates, the 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 boasts a 12.3-inch infotainment screen running the new ccNC software, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The center console has also been redesigned, incorporating controls for heated and ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, and parking assistance.
Departing from the previous 58 kWh and 77 kWh battery options, the updated Ioniq 5 now offers 63 kWh and 84 kWh battery capacities. As a result, the range has increased from 384 km to 440 km for the 63 kWh battery and from 507 km to 570 km for the 84 kWh battery. For the Dynamic and Epiq rear-wheel-drive variants, the 84 kWh battery range has been boosted from 476 km to 530 km, while the all-wheel-drive version sees an increase from 454 km to 500 km.
The rear-wheel-drive variants with the 63 kWh battery produce 168 horsepower, while the 84 kWh battery generates 225 horsepower. The all-wheel-drive variant, equipped with the 84 kWh battery, delivers an impressive 320 horsepower.
In the Australian market, the Dynamiq and Epiq trims will come standard with the new N Line package, featuring suede and leather upholstery, a more aggressive front bumper, and 20-inch sports wheels. The N Line-equipped vehicles offer a range of 515 km for the rear-wheel-drive variant with the 84 kWh battery and 495 km for the all-wheel-drive version with the same battery.
In terms of safety, the 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 retains the ADAS technology package while adding side parking sensors and an automatic lane-changing feature.
In Australia, the 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 is priced between 69,800 AUD (1.182 billion VND) and 111,000 AUD (1.88 billion VND).
