Kia Carnival Facelift 2024 Spotted in Vietnam: A Sneak Peek at the Upcoming Upgrade
Recently, images of the Kia Carnival facelift emerged from a new vehicle emission testing center, sparking interest among automotive enthusiasts online.
The photos revealed two Kia Carnival 2024 vehicles in Vietnam, one of which featured a wheel design similar to the international market’s facelift version, despite heavy camouflage.
The other Kia Carnival 2024 retained the wheel design of the current Vietnamese model, suggesting potential market-specific variations.
THACO, the distributor, has not yet confirmed the launch of this model.
This mid-cycle upgrade sees the Kia Carnival undergo significant exterior refinements. The front boasts the distinctive “tiger nose” grille, now framed by a chrome trim. The new vertical LED headlights with a stylized T-shaped DRL signature further enhance its presence. Fog lights positioned alongside the central air intake, electric sliding doors, and a revised rear bumper complete the dynamic look.
At the rear, the LED taillights with 3D Starmap graphics take center stage, stretching across the width of the vehicle and flowing down to the redesigned rear bumper. These taillights, along with the revised bumper and trunk lid, contribute to a more harmonious overall design.
Step inside the Kia Carnival 2024, and you’ll find a modern cabin akin to its EV6 and EV9 siblings. The dashboard is dominated by a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an equally sized infotainment screen, creating a seamless dual-screen setup. Other notable features include a head-up display (HUD), a revamped climate control system, a rotary-style gear selector, a smart key, and a digital rearview mirror.
The interior exudes sophistication with its two-tone color scheme, ergonomic seats upholstered in premium leather, and a host of comfort features such as heating, ventilation, and massage functions.
Under the hood, the Kia Carnival 2024 continues to offer the familiar 3.5L gasoline and 2.2L diesel engines, but with a new addition: a hybrid powertrain. This hybrid system combines a 1.6L turbocharged gasoline engine with an electric motor, delivering a combined output of 245 horsepower and 367 Nm of torque. According to Kia, this setup achieves a fuel efficiency of approximately 7.1 liters/100km.
In terms of safety, the Carnival 2024 introduces the Highway Driving Assistance 2 system, providing semi-autonomous driving assistance by maintaining a safe distance from other vehicles, adhering to preset speeds, and keeping the vehicle centered in its lane. This generation also includes a lane change function, enhancing the overall driving experience.
