As of the end of June 2024, the Kia Carnival surpassed the Sorento to become the best-selling vehicle in South Korea for that month.

Specifically, the Kia Carnival recorded impressive sales figures of 8,097 units, outperforming the Kia Sorento, which sold 7,307 vehicles.

Since its launch in August 2023, the Kia Sorento had consistently topped the sales charts. However, its recent fluctuating performance allowed the Carnival, a fellow Kia model, to take the lead.

Another Kia model, the Sportage, also witnessed remarkable sales growth in June 2024. With 5,815 units sold, it secured the third spot among the best-selling vehicles in South Korea for that month.

In contrast to the success of Kia models, the Hyundai Santa Fe, which was also introduced in August last year, experienced a different fate in terms of sales.

Hyundai sold 5,000 Santa Fe SUVs in June 2024, ranking it eighth among the best-selling vehicles in South Korea. The model’s sales performance may have been impacted by controversies surrounding its design and the late introduction of a hybrid variant.
