After a period of absence, the official Aston Martin DBX supercar has finally returned to the streets of Saigon, Vietnam.
This Aston Martin DBX boasts a sleek and charismatic gray exterior. The front grille is a prominent feature, complemented by LED oval headlights and daytime running lights (DRL) placed within the front air dam to facilitate airflow through the wheel arches and along the flanks, thus reducing drag and lift while cooling the brakes.
Airflow also travels over the roof, through the spoiler and rear window to the flip at the trunk lid, keeping the rear glass clean during motion. This design further reduces cabin noise, thanks to the meticulous engineering of Aston Martin.
The Aston Martin DBX features concealed door handles, frameless windows, and a glass B-pillar, creating a seamless and elegant appearance. Subtle body lines run along the flanks, adding depth to the design and extending to the trunk lid, where a fixed spoiler draws inspiration from the Vantage.
The rear end impresses with slender and graceful LED taillights, a rear bumper with a reverse slope, and a symmetrical dual exhaust system.
Inside, the officially imported version for the Vietnamese market features a predominantly brown cabin with a layout similar to that of Mercedes-Benz models.
Modern amenities abound, including a 12.3-inch TFT speedometer, a 10.25-inch infotainment screen compatible with Apple CarPlay, an electronic shift-by-wire gear selector, a 360-degree camera system, 64-color ambient lighting, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters.
Powering the Aston Martin DBX is a 4.0L V8 engine that produces 542 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. This potent powertrain is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system, enabling the SUV to sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 291 km/h.
The DBX also boasts an advanced triple-volume air suspension system, coupled with a 48-volt electronic anti-roll control system (eARC) and adaptive electronic dampers. This setup allows the vehicle to impressively adjust its ride height, raising by 45 mm or lowering by 50 mm. Notably, the eARC system can generate a staggering 1,400 Nm of anti-roll force per axle, delivering the handling characteristics of a sports car rather than a conventional SUV.
