Audi is set to officially unveil the Q8 e-tron to Vietnamese customers on June 18th, 2024.
Since late February 2024, several dealerships in Vietnam have been taking reservations for this electric vehicle, with an expected price of around 3.8 billion VND.
Audi Q8 e-tron is the most luxurious SUV in the German brand’s electrified lineup. It boasts impressive dimensions with a length of 4,915 mm, a width of 1,935 mm, a height of 1,633 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,923 mm.
As an upgraded version of the e-tron, the Q8 e-tron retains many design elements from its predecessor, with subtle refinements for a more modern look. The front grille features a striking honeycomb pattern and can automatically open and close to optimize airflow. Overall, the Audi Q8 e-tron’s exterior resembles that of a fuel-powered vehicle rather than an electric car.
This SUV is equipped with LED matrix headlights, complemented by sleek LED daytime running lights that stretch horizontally and taper towards the back. At the rear, the Audi Q8 e-tron sports a horizontal LED taillight assembly, connected by a distinctive LED strip that wraps around the tailgate. The rear bumper is finished in glossy black, creating a striking contrast with the overall body color.
Step inside, and you’ll find that the Audi Q8 e-tron’s cabin layout mirrors that of the brand’s gasoline-powered vehicles. It boasts a 12.3-inch screen behind the steering wheel, dual center consoles with 10.1-inch and 8.6-inch screens, a head-up display, a Bang & Olufsen 16-speaker audio system, quad-zone climate control, and a panoramic sunroof.
It’s unclear how many variants will be available when the vehicle arrives in Vietnam. Internationally, the Audi Q8 e-Tron is offered in three versions: the Q8 50 e-tron quattro, Q8 55 e-tron, and SQ8 e-tron.
The Q8 50 e-tron quattro is powered by two electric motors, delivering a combined output of 335 horsepower and 664 Nm of torque. It is equipped with an 89 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, offering a range of up to 491 kilometers on a single charge.
The Q8 55 e-tron, on the other hand, features a larger 106 kWh battery that produces 402 horsepower and 664 Nm of torque. This variant can travel up to 582 kilometers on a full charge.
Lastly, the range-topping SQ8 e-tron utilizes three electric motors, generating a staggering 496 horsepower and 973 Nm of torque. It also employs the 106 kWh battery pack and delivers a range of up to 494 kilometers.
The Audi Q8 e-tron supports both fast and slow charging. With fast charging, it can go from 10% to 80% in just 31 minutes.
Upon its launch, the Audi Q8 e-tron will directly compete with the Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV. The Mercedes electric SUV is priced at nearly 4 billion VND, slightly higher than the expected price of its German rival.
