A convoy of supercars is making its way to Vietnam as participants gear up for the Gumball 3000 2024.

Gumball 3000 is an annual supercar rally that began in 1999. The event sees hundreds of supercars embark on a multi-day, multi-country journey. This year, Gumball 3000 has chosen Ho Chi Minh City as its starting point to showcase the beauty of Vietnam to the world.

Recently, Vietnamese businessman Nguyen Quoc Cuong shared on his personal page a glimpse of the cars that will be participating in Gumball 3000 2024. These cars are being shipped to Vietnam from all over the world. Cuong’s post revealed the presence of two Bugatti Chiron supercars. So far, a total of three Bugatti Chirons have been confirmed, with the third one belonging to a Cambodian participant.

One of the newly revealed Chiron is the Pur Sport edition, featuring a striking black and orange exterior. The other Chiron boasts a green and black color scheme with a bold multi-spoke wheel design. Both the standard Chiron and the Pur Sport edition are powered by a W16 8.0L engine with four turbochargers, delivering a maximum output of 1,479 horsepower at 6,900 rpm. This engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system, propelling the car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and reaching a top speed of 420 km/h.

In addition to the two Bugatti Chirons, Cuong’s post also hinted at the presence of other notable vehicles, including two Lamborghini Huracan Sterratos, a Ferrari Dino 246GT, a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, a Porsche 911 GT3 RS 992, a Mercedes-AMG G 63, and several other impressive cars.

According to the organizers, the 25th Gumball 3000 rally will commence on September 14 in Ho Chi Minh City and traverse through several major cities in Southeast Asia, including Phrom Penh (Cambodia), Bangkok (Thailand), and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), before concluding on September 22 in Singapore.
