Audi Considers Halting Q8 E-Tron Production Due to Declining Orders

Audi reveals that the Q8 E-Tron and Q8 Sportback E-Tron are facing a significant decline in demand, partly due to the launch of newer and more affordable electric vehicles like the Q6 E-Tron.

Additionally, Audi mentions the need for a comprehensive restructuring of its Brussels factory, where these electric crossovers are manufactured, due to high logistics costs and a challenging factory layout resulting from its proximity to the city center.

While there have been speculations about Audi discontinuing the Q8 E-Tron and shutting down the Brussels factory, the CEO of Audi Brussels emphasizes that no final decision has been made yet.

On June 18, Audi launched the Q8 E-Tron in the Vietnamese market, offering the Q8 E-Tron 55 Quattro Advanced with a starting price of 3.8 billion VND.

The Audi Q8 E-Tron 55 Quattro is powered by an electric motor that delivers 100 kW of power, with a maximum output of up to 300 kW (408 horsepower) and a peak torque of 664 Nm.

Combined with a single-speed electric drive transmission and the quattro all-wheel drive system, the vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds, or 5.6 seconds in Boost Mode.
