The Koenigsegg Regera, a stunning hypercar, has just returned to Vietnam and is already turning heads.
Last seen in April 2024 at the grand opening of a beauty salon in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa, the Regera, owned by businessman Hoang Kim Khanh, has been absent from Vietnamese roads until now.
During this time, the Regera was in Cambodia undergoing number plate renewal procedures. After a long journey back to Vietnam, the million-dollar hypercar has finally returned to Khanh’s garage and is ready to hit the roads again.
This weekend, the Regera will make its fifth appearance at a supercar event in Saigon since its arrival in Vietnam in January 2022. Previously, the car has been spotted in Da Nang and Can Tho, and even made its way to Hanoi, but unfortunately encountered a technical issue and had to be transported back to Ho Chi Minh City and then to Sweden for repairs.
The Koenigsegg Regera is an impressive and distinctive hypercar, featuring a unique 180-degree opening door that sets it apart from other sports cars. Additionally, the Regera stands out for its lack of a traditional gearbox, instead utilizing a direct drive transmission structure that reduces energy loss by 50% compared to conventional gearboxes.
Powered by a 5.0L twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 1,100 horsepower, along with three electric motors that boost the total output to 1,500 horsepower, the Regera is an incredible machine. With this formidable power, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 400 km/h.
