Based on the comparison of the listed prices of mass-market car models in Vietnam, below is a list of the most expensive SUV/CUV models in each segment.
SUV/CUV Segment A
Price: From 539 million to 624 million VND
The 2024 Kia Sonet is a mid-cycle refresh with some design and equipment updates. In Vietnam, the Kia Sonet 2024 is officially available in 3 variants: Deluxe, Luxury, and Premium. The respective prices are 539 million VND, 579 million VND, and 624 million VND.
The design of the Kia Sonet remains largely unchanged in this mid-cycle update, with only minor tweaks to certain design elements such as the square-shaped grille, full LED headlights, and modern L-shaped demi strips.
The Kia Sonet 2024 features 17-inch alloy wheels, electrically adjustable and heated side mirrors, and roof rails. The rear brake light cluster has also been updated with a more attractive design.
Inside, the Sonet 2024 retains the same layout for the driver’s cockpit. However, the instrument cluster has been upgraded from a 3.5-inch LCD to a larger 4.2-inch display. The infotainment system features an 8-inch touchscreen on the lower variants and a 10.25-inch unit on the Premium variant, both with a sleeker and more modern design.
The SUV is equipped with automatic climate control, an 8-inch or 10.25-inch central display, 6 speakers, and multiple USB and Type-C charging ports. However, it still utilizes a manual handbrake. The rear passengers benefit from a center armrest, additional charging ports, and air vents.
There are no changes to the powertrain, as the Kia Sonet 2024 continues to use a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine producing 113 horsepower and 144 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
SUV/CUV Segment B
Price: From 1.099 billion to 1.299 billion VND
In Vietnam, the Volkswagen T-Cross is officially offered in two variants: Elegance, priced at 1.099 billion VND, and Luxury, priced at 1.299 billion VND. Both variants feature the same design but differ in their equipment levels.
The Volkswagen T-Cross boasts a sporty and rugged design language, with styling cues borrowed from its larger sibling, the Tiguan Allspace. With a ground clearance of 188 mm, it offers the highest ride height in its class. It rides on 16-inch wheels for the Elegance variant and larger 17-inch alloys for the Luxury variant. Full LED headlights are exclusive to the Luxury variant, while the Elegance makes do with halogen units.
The interior of the Volkswagen T-Cross is simple and functional, with two rows of seats accommodating up to five occupants. The design of the dashboard and steering wheel is similar to that of the Tiguan Allspace and Teramont.
Notable features of the Volkswagen T-Cross include a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, cruise control, and a panoramic sunroof. The luggage compartment offers a generous capacity of 385 liters.
Both variants of the Volkswagen T-Cross in Vietnam are powered by a 1.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that produces 115 horsepower and 178 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission and sends power to the front wheels. The fuel consumption is rated at approximately 6 liters per 100 kilometers in a combined cycle.
SUV/CUV Segment C
2024 Honda CR-V
Price: From 1.109 billion to 1.310 billion VND
In Vietnam, the 2024 Honda CR-V is offered in four variants: the G, priced at 1.109 billion VND; the L, priced at 1.159 billion VND; the e:HEV RS, priced at 1.259 billion VND; and the range-topping L AWD, priced at 1.310 billion VND.
The new-generation Honda CR-V has been thoroughly updated, featuring revisions to its design, technology, comfort, and powertrain options. Notably, it now offers an all-wheel-drive variant and a hybrid option. The gasoline-powered variants are locally assembled and feature a 5+2 seating configuration, while the hybrid variant is imported from Thailand and offers a 5-seat layout.
In terms of design, the 2024 Honda CR-V exudes a more elegant and sophisticated aesthetic compared to its predecessor. The hexagonal grille is a prominent feature at the front. It is equipped with LED headlights with adaptive technology, automatic high-beam control, and LED daytime running lights that seamlessly integrate with the grille. The redesigned LED taillights contribute to a sleeker and more refined rear end.
Some notable convenience features inside the cabin of the Honda CR-V 2024 include a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel, while the G and L variants get a 7-inch TFT display. 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan

In Vietnam, the Volkswagen Tiguan is officially offered in a single variant, priced at 1.999 billion VND.
The 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan is a mid-cycle refresh that introduces subtle changes to the exterior design. It features a new front bumper, slimmer LED matrix headlights, redesigned LED taillights, and multi-spoke 18-inch alloy wheels. The overall length of the vehicle has increased slightly, but the difference is barely noticeable. From the side profile, it is difficult to distinguish the facelifted model from its predecessor.
The interior of the Tiguan 2023 also receives minor updates, including new air-conditioning controls and a revised steering wheel design. Notable features include a digital instrument cluster, a head-up display, an 8-inch central touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, three-zone automatic climate control, power-adjustable front seats with memory function, and more.
Under the hood, the Tiguan continues to be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, delivering 180 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and a 4Motion all-wheel-drive system.
SUV/CUV Segment E
Price: From 6.380 billion to 6.988 billion VND
In Vietnam, the 7-seat Jeep Grand Cherokee L is officially offered in three variants: Limited, priced at 6.188 billion VND; Summit Reserved, priced at 6.688 billion VND; and Black Package, priced at 6.988 billion VND.
True to its name, the Grand Cherokee L is a stretched version of the standard Grand Cherokee sold in the US. It is built on a unibody platform.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee L retains the square and masculine design DNA of the American brand, now part of the Stellantis group (Fiat-Chrysler and PSA). The new generation features a more slender design for the headlights and taillights, while maintaining the bold and imposing presence characteristic of Jeep SUVs.
The interior of the Jeep Grand Cherokee L exudes a premium and modern ambiance, featuring a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel and a central touchscreen display measuring either 8.4 or 10.1 inches, supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The SUV is generously equipped with high-end features such as a premium McIntosh sound system delivering 950 watts of power. The gear selector has been replaced with a rotary dial similar to those found in Land Rover vehicles.
