The subcompact SUV segment in Vietnam continues to sizzle, as evident from the June sales report.
Combined sales of the Mitsubishi Xforce, Toyota Yaris Cross, Toyota Corolla Cross, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda HR-V, and the Mazda CX-3/CX-30 duo reached 4,212 units in the previous month, reflecting a 4.2% growth compared to May 2024.
Mitsubishi Xforce: 948 units
Leading the pack in the SUV/CUV B-segment is the Mitsubishi Xforce, with sales of 948 units, an 18.2% increase compared to the previous month. Cumulative sales from the beginning of 2024 to date for this Japanese model stand at 3,890 units.
Currently, the vehicle is imported from Indonesia to Vietnam, offering four versions: GLX, Exceed, Premium, and Ultimate. Prices range from VND 599 million to VND 705 million.
Toyota Yaris Cross: 811 units
Ranking second in the best-selling list is the Toyota Yaris Cross, with 811 units sold, a 10% decrease compared to May 2024. Cumulative sales for the first six months of 2024 show that Toyota has delivered 3,750 Yaris Cross vehicles to customers.
The Toyota Yaris Cross is currently available in Vietnam in two versions, with prices ranging from VND 650 million to VND 765 million.
Hyundai Creta: 686 units
With 686 units sold in June 2024, the Hyundai Creta climbed to third place in the segment. Cumulative sales for the first six months of this year show that Hyundai has sold 2,814 Creta vehicles.
The adjustment in the Creta’s listed price to VND 599-699 million has made this CUV more appealing to customers, resulting in improved sales performance.
Toyota Corolla Cross: 661 units
With 661 units sold in June, the Toyota Corolla Cross dropped from first place in May 2024 to fourth place in the best-selling list. Cumulative sales for the first six months of 2024 show that 2,028 Toyota Corolla Cross vehicles have been sold.
The Toyota Corolla Cross is currently offered in two versions: the 1.8 V and the 1.8 HEV, priced at VND 820 million and VND 905 million, respectively.
Kia Seltos: 587 units
Similar to its compatriot, the Kia Seltos, experienced sales growth in June 2024. Specifically, the model sold 587 units, a 22% increase compared to the previous month. Cumulative sales over the past six months show that Kia has delivered a total of 2,607 Seltos vehicles to customers.
The Kia Seltos received an upgraded version in April 2024 and now offers six variants, with prices ranging from VND 599 million to VND 799 million.
