The Audi RS Q8 is an absolute powerhouse, boasting a 4.0L V8 engine that delivers an impressive 591 horsepower. It’s the most potent offering from the brand and is considered the high-performance version of the Q8.
This 2021 Audi RS Q8, imported to Vietnam in April 2022 by a private importer, found its owner in September 2023 – a wealthy individual from Nghe An Province. This all-powerful SUV comes with a hefty price tag of nearly 10 billion VND, more than double the price of the authorized dealer’s Q8, which starts at 4.5 billion VND (excluding options and on-road costs).
The first and only Audi RS Q8 in Vietnam is finished in a premium glossy black paint job, complemented by a black styling package that extends to various details, including the distinctive single-frame grille, aggressive front and rear bumpers, and oval dual exhaust pipes. The RS Q8 logo is subtly placed on the grille, exuding sophistication.
It sits on imposing 23-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in 295/35 ZR23 tires, with red-painted RS carbon ceramic brakes peeking through, a $500 option in the US.
The interior of this unique Audi RS Q8 is a sight to behold, featuring Valcona brown leather upholstery with intricate honeycomb stitching and carbon fiber accents. The sporty seats with RS logos in the backrests embrace the driver and passengers, enhancing the SUV’s performance character.
A host of convenience features elevate the driving experience, including a premium B&O sound system, a head-up display, soft-close doors, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera system, and a massive 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The 4-spoke steering wheel, adorned with the RS logo at the 6 o’clock position, integrates shift paddles and function buttons, including the RS Mode button. When activated, the display switches to a racing-inspired interface, and the electronic stability control (ESC) is automatically deactivated. The dual-screen MMI infotainment system comprises a 10.1-inch upper screen and an 8.6-inch lower one, while the luggage compartment offers a generous 1,755 liters of space with the rear seats folded down.
Under the hood, the Audi RS Q8 shares its twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 engine with the Lamborghini Urus, although it produces slightly less power: 591 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque, compared to the Urus’s 641 horsepower and 850 Nm. The RS Q8 also utilizes the same platform and transmission as the super SUV Urus.
This potent powertrain enables the RS Q8 to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds and reach 200 km/h in 13.7 seconds. Its top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h, but with the optional dynamic package, it can reach an impressive 305 km/h.
