VinFast VF 5 Plus: An Unmissable Opportunity for Ride-Hailing Drivers to Optimize Costs

The recent VF 5 Plus reservation period from July 7 to 10 offered by VinFast attracted not only those who favor the model’s new youthful colors but also ride-hailing drivers seeking to optimize their vehicle purchase costs and take advantage of free charging and parking privileges, resulting in potential savings of up to hundreds of millions of dong.

Just 3 Days Left to Enjoy Unparalleled Promotions

The VinFast VF 5 Plus is currently the only model in the A-SUV segment with a price tag of under 500 million VND (for the battery leasing option). During the special reservation period from July 7 to 10, the starting price of this model was even more attractive, beginning at just 458 million VND thanks to additional promotions for the new color range.

Specifically, customers who placed orders for the VF 5 Plus during these four days received an immediate discount of 10 million VND on the vehicle’s price and were also given the freedom to choose from eight complimentary paint colors (including four basic colors: Gray, Red, Blue, and White, as well as four advanced colors: Yellow, Purple-Pink, Light Blue, and Light Green), or they could even select a custom color outside the standard palette at no extra charge.

Vietnamese consumers have just three days left to take advantage of this incredible offer on the VF 5 Plus.

After this promotional period, the advanced colors will incur a fee of 10 million VND, while a custom color will cost 20 million VND. Thus, at the time of order confirmation, customers are already saving up to 30 million VND.

In addition to its competitive list price, the electric vehicle also offers significant savings on on-road costs, as the registration fee is waived, resulting in potential savings of up to 60 million VND compared to a 12% registration fee in Hanoi for a gasoline-powered vehicle.

Incredible promotions on the VF 5 Plus offer savings of up to 100 million VND.

Mr. Tuan Anh, a car owner in Hanoi who recently took advantage of this opportunity to order a VF 5 Plus in a custom color, commented, “By taking advantage of this promotion, the on-road cost of the vehicle is only around 480 million VND, which is even lower than the list price of some gasoline-powered models. It’s an incredible deal.”

With the special promotions offered during this reservation period, along with the free parking and charging benefits, Mr. Tuan Anh believes that this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for customers like himself with specific requirements.

Mr. Tuan Anh also mentioned that thanks to the attractive financing options provided by VinFast, he was able to secure a loan for up to 80% of the vehicle’s value, with an industry-leading interest rate of just 4.8% for the first two years, spread out over an eight-year repayment period.

“The monthly loan installment is very affordable at around 5 million VND, which equates to less than 200,000 VND per day. It’s a very reasonable expense to have a vehicle that provides shelter from the elements and helps increase my income,” affirmed Mr. Tuan Anh.

Operating Costs: Free Charging and Parking Make VF 5 Plus the Ultimate Money-Saver

Mr. Tuan Anh also shared that one of the main reasons he chose the VF 5 Plus was because of the significantly lower operating costs compared to its gasoline-powered counterparts.

With a range of up to 326.4 km on a single charge and a battery capacity of 37.23 kWh, the VF 5 Plus would typically cost over 140,000 VND to fully charge. However, thanks to the ongoing promotion, all VinFast vehicle owners, including VF 5 Plus drivers, are currently enjoying free charging at V-GREEN stations nationwide from July 1, 2024, to July 1, 2025, as well as free parking (for up to five hours) and priority parking at all locations within the Vingroup ecosystem.

The VF 5 Plus is hailed as the ultimate money-saver when it comes to operating costs.

“With the free charging offer, those who lease the battery like me only need to pay the monthly battery rental fee, while those who purchase the battery outright won’t incur any charging costs, no matter how much they drive,” he shared. Regardless of whether one leases or buys the battery, the cost difference compared to a gasoline-powered vehicle in the same segment amounts to tens of millions of dong.

Comparison of fuel costs between VF 5 Plus and Kia Sonet for a monthly mileage of 3,000 km. Electricity price at public charging stations: 3,858 VND/kWh (before July 1, 2024). Gasoline price for RON 95-III: 23,550 VND (adjusted on July 4, 2024).

For example, if one were to drive approximately 3,000 km per month, the fuel cost before the promotion would be around 2.9 million VND, including approximately 1.3 million VND per month for charging and the battery rental fee. From July 1, 2024, to July 1, 2025, with the one-year free charging promotion, owners will save nearly 16 million VND compared to the previous cost. The fuel cost for this year will only include the battery rental fee, amounting to over 19 million VND.

When compared to a popular A-SUV gasoline-powered model like the Kia Sonet, the fuel cost for the same monthly mileage would be approximately 5.6 million VND per month, or 67.8 million VND per year. Therefore, over the course of a year, the VF 5 Plus offers a significant savings of approximately 48 million VND in operating costs compared to a gasoline-powered vehicle. Moreover, if one were to purchase the battery outright, they would essentially be “earning” this 67.8 million VND.

Customers who placed reservations for the VF 5 Plus on the first day of the reservation period eagerly await the opportunity to experience free charging.

For those with higher daily mileage requirements or those using the vehicle for ride-hailing services, the savings are even more substantial, validating the claim that “the more you drive, the more you save” made by many users.

“Not to mention the free parking benefit. If we assume an average daily parking fee of 50,000 VND, the two-year free parking offer would save me an additional 36 million VND,” added Mr. Tuan Anh. Taking into account all the promotions, including free charging and parking, as well as the interest rate support from VinFast, he estimates a total savings of up to 99 million VND.

With these cost-saving advantages, Mr. Tuan Anh is eagerly awaiting the delivery of his VF 5 Plus and the opportunity to experience the convenience of “not having to reach for his wallet” when using an electric vehicle. According to various sources, deliveries of the VF 5 Plus in the new colors are expected to begin as early as the end of July.

In addition to the benefits available to all VF 5 Plus owners, residents of Vinhomes will enjoy exclusive privileges, including free parking and charging at Vinhomes parking lots for the next two years. Alternatively, residents can opt for home charging, for which Vingroup will provide a subsidy of up to 10 million VND per charging station, along with a monthly subsidy of 900,000 VND per vehicle for charging costs from now until July 1, 2026. Residents of Vinhomes apartment buildings who own a VinFast electric vehicle will be given priority parking if space is available.

From July 7 to 10, customers can place reservations for the VF 5 Plus through VinFast’s nationwide network of showrooms and distributors or through the website: https://bit.ly/DatcocVinFastVF5Plus
