Hongqi Unveils the HS7 PHEV in China: A Stylish and Efficient SUV
Positioned in the mid-size SUV segment, the HS7 PHEV boasts impressive dimensions with a length of 4,995 mm, a width of 1,960 mm, and a height of 1,760 mm. Its wheelbase spans 2,920 mm, offering a spacious interior.
The front of the vehicle features a striking grille with vertical metal slats and the iconic red flag logo at its center, flowing seamlessly into the hood. The daytime running lights are designed in a vertical orientation, mirroring the grille, while the main headlights sit above with a sleek, sharp design.
At the rear, the HS7 PHEV sports arrow-shaped taillights that stretch across the width of the vehicle, connected by a thin chrome bar and a red LED strip. This new version also features a “PHEV” badge next to the HS7 logo for easy identification.
The HS7 PHEV rides on stylish 20-inch, 5-spoke alloy wheels, and charging ports are conveniently located on both sides of the vehicle near the rear.
Inside, the HS7 PHEV continues the elegant theme with a well-appointed cabin. It features a vertically oriented touchscreen infotainment system, a 3-spoke multifunction steering wheel, and a large gear selector.
The seats are upholstered in premium leather and offer a range of modern conveniences, including heating, ventilation, and massage functions for both the front and rear seats. The driver’s seat is electrically adjustable, while the second row offers manual adjustments.
Under the hood, the HS7 PHEV combines a 2.0L gasoline engine with an electric motor and a CATL lithium-ion ternary battery pack with a capacity of 20.14 kWh.
The gasoline engine produces 163 horsepower, enabling the vehicle to reach a top speed of 180 km/h. The HS7 PHEV offers an all-electric range of 92 km on a single charge for the two-wheel-drive model and 83 km for the four-wheel-drive variant.
In terms of fuel efficiency, the HS7 PHEV boasts impressive figures, with a claimed fuel consumption of 5.98 – 6.32L/100 km.
Hongqi is set to launch the HS7 PHEV in China on July 11, offering two variants with either two-wheel or four-wheel drive. Pricing details have not yet been disclosed.
