Vietnam’s Elite Embrace the Electric Revolution: A Peek into Minh Nhựa’s Newest Acquisition

The first-ever Rolls-Royce Spectre to grace Vietnamese shores has found its home with prominent businessman Phạm Trần Nhật Minh. On June 30, after a six-month wait, Minh proudly took delivery of this cutting-edge, all-electric coupe with a price tag exceeding 25 billion VND.

Spectre marks a pivotal moment in the 120-year history of the iconic British marque, being their inaugural fully electric vehicle. Its design draws inspiration from the Wraith and Phantom, yet it boasts a wider and lower stance, exuding a distinct sense of sportiness.

Minh’s Spectre is finished in a pristine white exterior, accentuating the car’s innate elegance and prestige. The front grille, a hallmark of the Rolls-Royce brand, boasts a waterfall design with distinctive vertical slats. At night, the grille subtly illuminates, thanks to 22 LED lights that are sandblasted onto the rear of the radiator’s vanes, casting a soft glow onto the polished surfaces for a refined three-dimensional effect.

The legendary Spirit of Ecstasy figurine takes center stage, crafted from polycarbonate instead of the traditional silver or gold-plated finish. This unique material allows the figurine to illuminate and change colors at night, adding a touch of magic to the vehicle.

The Spectre’s lighting system is a masterpiece in itself, featuring a two-tier setup with an ultra-slim LED daytime running light strip on top and the main headlights positioned deeper within the lower housing. A large central air intake and a small integrated spoiler further enhance the car’s aerodynamic prowess.

Adorning the car are a set of 23-inch alloy wheels—the largest ever fitted to a Rolls-Royce in the last century. These wheels are meticulously designed to optimize airflow, contributing to the Spectre’s impressive 0.25 Cd drag coefficient, the lowest of any Rolls-Royce to date.

At the rear, the Spectre showcases a distinctive new design language with vertical LED taillights and silver accents, adding a touch of modernity to the classic Rolls-Royce silhouette.

In terms of dimensions, the Spectre spans 5,453 mm in length, 2,080 mm in width, and 1,559 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,210 mm, a turning radius of 12.7 m, and an unladen weight of 2,975 kg.

Step inside the Spectre, and you’ll find a harmonious blend of modern amenities and classic Rolls-Royce opulence. The interior is adorned with a three-spoke steering wheel, a fully digital instrument cluster seamlessly integrated with the central touchscreen infotainment system, and leather-upholstered seats. A digital display for the front passenger adds a unique touch, ensuring an elevated in-car experience.

Minh’s Spectre features a tasteful white and sky blue interior theme, complemented by a black dashboard and a two-tone steering wheel in black and blue. The iconic starry night LED lighting on the ceiling has been extended to the dashboard and door trim, enveloping the cabin in a mesmerizing glow.

Under the hood, the Spectre is a powerhouse, boasting an electric motor that delivers a maximum output of 430 kW (approximately 576 horsepower) and a staggering 900 Nm of torque. This translates to a brisk 0-100 km/h sprint in just 4.5 seconds. In terms of range, the Spectre impresses with a CLTC-certified 585 km on a single charge in China and a 515 km range according to EPA standards in the USA.

Additionally, the Spectre supports rapid charging technology, allowing it to charge from 10% to 80% in just 34 minutes using a DC 195 kW charger. For those in a hurry, a quick nine-minute charge will provide enough juice for a 100 km journey.
