According to recent reports, Ford has reportedly filed to trademark the name “Ranger Super Duty” in the Philippines.

Super Duty is the moniker given to a variant of Ford’s heavy-duty pickup trucks, such as the F-250 and F-350. These vehicles offer superior size and performance compared to the standard F-150 and Ranger models.

The towing capacity of these vehicles may be increased from 3.5 to 4.5 tons, and with an improved chassis, payload capacity could also see a boost from 1 to 1.5 tons.

While Ford’s trademark filing for “Ranger Super Duty” was made in the Philippines, it doesn’t necessarily mean the vehicle will be launched there. However, it does indicate the company’s intention to introduce a Ford Ranger variant with enhanced carrying capacity and impressive performance.

This new model could potentially replace the F-150 and be offered in Southeast Asian markets in the future.
