Zeekr Unveils the 2024 009 Minivan: A Luxurious and Tech-Savvy Electric Vehicle
Zeekr, a Chinese automotive brand, has recently revealed the 2024 version of its electric minivan, the Zeekr 009. This new model boasts over 1,366 new components and improvements, while still retaining the sleek and modern design of its predecessor.
The front of the vehicle features a distinctive closed-grille design with a waterfall-style pattern, now accented with chrome trim. The distinctive U-shaped headlights remain, adding to the overall contemporary aesthetic. One of the standout features of the Zeekr 009 is its intelligent grille, which can adapt its design based on different driving scenarios, a unique trait among MPVs.
Additionally, the 2024 model now includes a LiDAR sensor mounted on the roof, a feature previously seen on the ultra-luxurious 4-seat Grand version launched in April.
Moving to the rear, the Zeekr 009 2024 continues to impress with its sleek design. The distinctive taillights span the width of the vehicle and feature 402 LEDs, with the ZEEKR logo proudly displayed in the center. The high-mounted brake light and rear spoiler add a touch of sportiness to the overall design.
The 2024 Zeekr 009 has a new length of 5,217mm, while the width (2,024mm) and wheelbase (3,205mm) remain unchanged. However, the height has been reduced by 36mm to 1,812mm, achieved by replacing the shark fin antenna with an integrated design in the rear spoiler.
The interior of the Zeekr 009 2024 offers a range of seating configurations, including a standard 2+2+2 layout, a super-luxurious 4-seat Grand version, and a brand new 7-seat option.
The dashboard maintains the traditional T-shaped layout, featuring a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The front infotainment screen has been upgraded to a 15.05-inch OLED display with 2.5K resolution. The rear-seat entertainment screens have also been enhanced with 17-inch OLED displays, offering 3K resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. Both screens are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chips, enabling advanced AI features that can predict user needs based on their habits.
This mid-life upgrade also introduces more premium and modern materials throughout the cabin. The passenger seats offer 12-way electric adjustment and massage functionality. Each seat is equipped with Yamaha headrest speakers, ensuring an immersive audio experience. Additional conveniences include mobile app control, OTA updates, facial recognition, wireless charging, ambient lighting, and a control panel for the second-row seats integrated into the electric sliding door.
Under the hood, the Zeekr 009 2024 offers two powerful engine options. The first is a single electric motor producing 416 horsepower and 440 Nm of torque, paired with front-wheel drive. This setup enables the minivan to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 230 km/h.
The second option is a dual-motor setup, delivering an impressive 778 horsepower and 810 Nm of torque. Combined with all-wheel drive, this configuration propels the Zeekr 009 from 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, while still achieving a top speed of 230 km/h.
Both engine options are equipped with nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) 108 kWh batteries, supporting ultra-fast charging. The vehicles can charge from 10-80% in just 11.5 minutes, thanks to their 800V architecture, known as 5C charging.
When fully charged, the single-motor version offers a remarkable range of up to 740 km based on the CLTC standard, while the dual-motor version provides a range of 702 km. An optional 140 kWh battery further extends the range to an impressive 900 km, although it utilizes a 400V system instead of the standard 800V.
In the Hong Kong market, the Zeekr 009 is offered exclusively with the dual-motor setup and a 116 kWh battery, resulting in a range of 582 km based on the WLTP standard.
Priced between 439,000 and 469,000 Chinese yuan (approximately 1.529 billion to 1.633 billion VND) in its home market of China, the Zeekr 009 2024 is a testament to the brand’s commitment to innovation and luxury.
