Toyota Maintains its Lead in the First Half of 2024: A Successful Defense of their Top Spot in the Passenger Car Market and a Significant Contribution to Vietnam

In terms of sales, Toyota sold 23,025 units (including Lexus) in the first half of the year, bringing their total cumulative sales to over 939,000 units. Lexus alone accounted for 687 units, with a total cumulative sales of nearly 13,000 units. Additionally, the Toyota factory has produced 11,224 units, taking their cumulative production to almost 700,000 units.

Toyota dominated the top 10 best-selling cars in the market, with the Vios leading the way at 4,215 units sold, closely followed by the Yaris Cross at 3,750 units. Toyota also took the lead in hybrid vehicle sales, with 1,682 units sold.

In the first half of 2024, Toyota contributed over $117 million to the state budget, with a total cumulative contribution of over $1.3 billion. Their annual activities in road safety, environmental protection, education, human resource development, and social and cultural affairs demonstrate their commitment to improving the lives of the local community. To date, Toyota has contributed more than $30.8 million to social activities. They have also actively supported auxiliary businesses, contributing to the development of Vietnam’s automotive industry.

In terms of service, Toyota welcomed 937,000 customers, an 8% increase from the previous year, bringing the total number of customers using their genuine services to nearly 19 million. Their export business for auto parts and components generated nearly $29 million in revenue, with a cumulative revenue of over $892 million.
