BYD has recently unveiled the interior of its upcoming luxury SUV, the Fang Cheng Bao Leopard 8, with its subsidiary brand, Fang Cheng Bao, expected to launch the model in Q3 2024.
Based on the shared images, the Fang Cheng Leopard 8’s cabin bears resemblance to the Leopard 5 SUV and the BYD Shark pickup truck.
The vehicle features a central control panel consisting of three screens: a digital instrument cluster, a front passenger touch screen, and a large, floating central display.
While Fang Cheng Bao has not disclosed the sizes of these screens, they are likely to be similar to those in the Leopard 5. This would mean a 12.3-inch control panel and front passenger screen and a 15.6-inch central screen.
The car also features a four-spoke steering wheel with integrated function keys, two wireless charging pads, a retractable gear shift lever, cup holders, and more.
The second row of the Fang Cheng Leopard 8 offers two seating configurations: either two independent, electrically adjustable business-class seats or a standard, full-length bench seat for families.
Meanwhile, the third row is equipped with two additional seats, providing a six or seven-seat option.
Positioned in the large SUV segment, the Fang Cheng Leopard 8 has overall dimensions of 5,195 x 1,994 x 1,875 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 2,920 mm.
Powering the vehicle is a 2.0L engine producing 268 hp, supported by two electric motors with outputs of 269 hp and 402 hp, respectively. The total output of the Leopard 8 is an impressive 939 hp.
Upon its release, the Fang Cheng Leopard 8 is expected to be priced at 500,000 RMB (approximately 1.754 billion VND) and will compete with rivals such as the Tank 700 Hi4-T and Tank 800 Hi4-T.
