Xiaomi Celebrates Major Milestone: Over 10,000 SU7 Electric Vehicles Delivered in June 2024
Following the successful delivery of 7,058 SU7 electric vehicles to pre-order customers in April, Xiaomi announced that it had surpassed 8,630 deliveries in May and achieved a remarkable milestone of over 10,000 deliveries in June.
Looking ahead to July, the Chinese automaker aims to match or exceed the previous month’s performance and is on track to reach a total of 100,000-120,000 Xiaomi SU7 deliveries by the end of the year.
Xiaomi is offering a range of attractive incentives and gifts to customers who place a deposit on the SU7 in July. With a deposit of 5,000 NDT (approximately 17.5 million VND), customers will receive a Nappa leather seat package worth 8,000 NDT (approximately 28 million VND) and lifetime access to the autonomous driving mode on the Xiaomi SU7.
Unveiled on March 28, the SU7 marks Xiaomi’s first foray into the electric vehicle market. Equipped with advanced technology and offered at a competitive price, the SU7 quickly gained traction among customers. Within the first 27 minutes of sales, the SUV received an impressive 50,000 orders, and by April 3, Xiaomi had received over 100,000 orders for this highly anticipated model.
The SU7 is a mid-size sedan with impressive dimensions: 4,997 mm in length, 1,963 mm in width, and a height ranging from 1,440 mm to 1,455 mm. Its wheelbase spans 3,000 mm, making it larger than the Tesla Model 3. Xiaomi boasts that the SU7 has a drag coefficient of Cd 0.195, the lowest among mass-produced vehicles worldwide.
As a subsidiary of the renowned smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi, it’s no surprise that the SU7 is packed with cutting-edge technology. It features LiDAR sensors, 11 HD cameras, 3 millimeter-wave radars, and 12 ultrasonic radars, enabling advanced driver-assistance systems and autonomous parking capabilities.
The Xiaomi SU7 is available in both rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) configurations. The RWD version is powered by a single electric motor on the rear axle, delivering 295 horsepower. The AWD variant, on the other hand, boasts an additional electric motor on the front axle, generating a combined output of 664 horsepower.
Customers can choose between two battery options: a 73.6 kWh LFP battery from BYD or a 101 kWh ternary (NMC) battery from CATL. The BYD battery offers a range of 628 km to 668 km, while the CATL battery provides an impressive 800 km to 750 km on a single charge. The BYD battery supports 400V fast charging, while the CATL battery is designed for 800V fast charging.
The SU7 is currently offered in three trim levels in China: Standard, priced at 29,900 USD (approximately 761 million VND), Pro, priced at 34,000 USD (approximately 865.3 million VND), and Max, priced at 41,500 USD (approximately 1.056 billion VND).
