Mazda has recently introduced a mid-cycle refresh for their CX-90 model, including a new Premium Sport variant priced at $46,400 (gas engine) and $54,900 (PHEV) as its starting points. The rest of the lineup remains priced from $37,845.

The Mazda CX-90 Premium Sport stands out with its sleek black gloss grille, complemented by chrome accents and matching black badges.

This edition boasts 21-inch black alloy wheels and piano black mirrors. Additionally, it offers hands-free power liftgate and a panoramic sunroof as standard features.

Inside, the CX-90 Premium Sport showcases a minimalist yet modern aesthetic. It features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, and a Bose 12-speaker audio setup. The vehicle is equipped with an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a head-up display, and auto-dimming frameless mirrors.

In terms of safety, this trim boasts advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), including lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, forward-collision avoidance, and more. It also introduces the Mazda Intelligent Drive Select system and offers a maximum towing capacity of 2,268 kg for the gasoline variant.

Aside from the new Premium Sport edition, the CX-90 Preferred trim now features an upgraded cabin with a 12.3-inch infotainment display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, a wireless smartphone charging pad, and front and rear parking sensors.

Under the hood, the 2025 Mazda CX-90 for the US market offers two engine options. The first is a 3.3L inline-six gasoline engine that produces 280 horsepower and 450 Nm of torque, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive.

The second option is a plug-in hybrid powertrain that combines a 2.5L naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine with an electric motor and a 17.8 kWh battery pack. This setup delivers a combined output of 323 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, enabling the vehicle to travel up to 42 kilometers on electric power alone.
