The Haima 7X and 7X-E, a pair of Chinese MPVs, were first introduced to the Vietnamese market back in December 2023. Fast forward to over half a year later, and these two mid-sized MPVs are still struggling to make a splash.
To attract customers’ attention, the Haima brand is offering significant discounts on their MPV models. Specifically, the Haima 7X continues to be discounted by 100 million VND, just like when it first entered the Vietnamese market. In addition, the car is also supported with 50% registration fee assistance, which equates to 40 million VND in cash.
This brings the total discount on the Haima 7X to 140 million VND. With this reduction, the price of this imported Chinese MPV drops to 725 million VND, making it comparable to the mid-range version of the Kia Carens. Furthermore, when compared to its segment rivals, the Toyota Innova Cross (priced from 810 – 990 million VND) and the Hyundai Custin (820 – 979 million VND), the Haima 7X is significantly more affordable.
Meanwhile, its sibling, the Haima 7X-E, is offering a discount of 130 million VND on both versions. After the discount, the price of this pure electric MPV is 981 million VND for the Comfort version and 1.1 billion VND for the Premium version.
The Haima 7X-E pure electric MPV also has an attractive incentive program.
Despite being Chinese-made, the Haima 7X and 7X-E are priced relatively high in the Vietnamese market. Their unattractive pricing, coupled with an unfamiliar brand, Chinese origins, and limited dealerships, make these cars a hard sell.
Positioned in the mid-sized MPV segment, the Haima 7X and 7X-E both boast dimensions of 4,815 x 1,874 x 1,720 mm in length, width, and height, respectively, with a wheelbase of 2,860 mm. Aside from their dimensions, the two vehicles share similar overall designs and comfort equipment.

Under the hood of the Haima 7X is a 1.6L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine that produces 182 hp and 280 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. The car offers two driving modes, Sport and Snow, and achieves a fuel economy of 8.3 liters per 100 km.
In contrast, the Haima 7X-E is powered by an electric motor mounted on the front axle, delivering 201 hp and 340 Nm of torque. Its 71.37 kWh battery pack enables a range of 460 km on a single charge, as per the NEDC standard. Charging the battery from 30% to 80% using a fast charger takes just 27 minutes. Alternatively, a full charge using a slow AC charger takes 11.5 hours.
