The Honda Civic, which was recently launched internationally in late May, has now made its way to the Southeast Asian market, with Thailand being the first destination.
According to the manufacturer, the new Honda Civic will be available in Thailand in three variants: 1.5 Turbo EL+, e:HEV EL+, and e:HEV RS. Honda has not yet announced the official price of the car, but it is expected to range between 1.03 – 1.24 million Baht (approximately 730 – 870 million VND).
If this information is accurate, the price of the 2025 Honda Civic in Thailand will be on par with the price of the older version currently sold in Vietnam (730 – 870 million VND). Therefore, when the new Civic is released in Vietnam, the price is likely to be higher than the previous version, considering the price difference between the two markets.
The 2025 Honda Civic receives a subtle design upgrade with a sportier front bumper, a larger grille, and darkened taillights. It also features four new exterior colors: Silver Solar Silver Metallic, Urban Gray Pearl, Blue Lagoon Pearl, and White Sand Dune Pearl.
The interior of the 2025 Civic remains largely similar to its predecessor, but with significant technological upgrades. The most notable improvement is the larger 9-inch infotainment screen, running software developed by Google, and integrating Google services such as maps, voice assistant, and the app store.
Additionally, the car features premium leather upholstery, USB-C ports, wireless charging, and a 12-speaker audio system. The safety suite has also been enhanced with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert.
In Thailand, the Civic 2025 is offered with two engine options. The first is a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine that produces 178 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque, paired with a CVT transmission. The second option is a hybrid powertrain that combines a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with two electric motors, delivering a combined output of 184 horsepower and 315 Nm of torque.
According to some sources, the upgraded Honda Civic will be launched in Vietnam in September. Dealers have stopped importing the older Civic and are now taking reservations for the new model. Sales representatives have also started accepting deposits for the sedan.
