Alongside the launch of the Kia Sonet 2024 in the Vietnamese market, Thaco has also introduced two new versions of the Kia Seltos, in addition to upgrading the Luxury version to cater to the diverse needs of domestic customers.
Specifically, the Kia Seltos has been augmented with the 1.5L Deluxe version, priced at VND 639 million, targeting Vietnamese customers who seek a vehicle with optimized features for urban commuting.
In this version, aside from the Smartstream G 1.5L engine, the Kia Seltos is also equipped with dual-zone automatic climate control, an electronic parking brake with an Auto Hold function, a 10.25-inch central entertainment screen, and tire pressure sensors.

On the other hand, the 1.5 Turbo Luxury version of the Kia Seltos is fitted with a Smartstream 1.5L turbocharged engine, similar to the 1.5 Turbo GT-Line version, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. This engine enables the Seltos 1.5 Turbo Luxury to deliver a maximum output of 158 horsepower and a peak torque of 253 Nm. However, the 1.5 Turbo Luxury version of this B-segment SUV does not come with Cruise Control or the Maximum Speed Limit Alert (MSLA) feature.
According to information posted on the company’s website, the listed price for the Kia Seltos 1.5 Tubo Luxury in the Vietnamese market is VND 749 million. This price is on par with the 1.5L Premium version, VND 50 million lower than the GT-Line version, and VND 50 million higher than the recently upgraded 1.5L Luxury version.
Thaco stated that the new 1.5L Luxury version of the Kia Seltos would offer upgraded features, including six airbags, cruise control, and the MSLA function. With these enhancements, the new Luxury version of the Kia Seltos can meet the daily commuting needs of customers while also providing convenience and safety for long-distance driving, especially on highways.

In the first four months of the year, the Kia Seltos sold 1,539 units, ranking fifth in its segment, behind the Mitsubishi Xforce (2,140 units), Honda HR-V (2,090 units), Toyota Yaris Cross (2,037 units), and the Hyundai Creta (1,706 units).
The B-segment SUV segment in Vietnam also includes competitors such as the Toyota Corolla Cross, the Mazda CX-3/CX-30 duo, electric vehicles like the VinFast VF 6 and MG4 EV, and upcoming models such as the Omoda E5, Jaecoo J7, BYD Atto 3, and potentially the Haval Jolion.
