Toyota Vietnam and Toyota Financial Services Vietnam, along with authorized dealers nationwide, launched a promotion for car buyers on August 1, 2024. The Yaris Cross, a B-segment SUV, is one of the Toyota models included in this month’s promotions.
Throughout this month, customers purchasing the Toyota Yaris Cross will be eligible for the following two promotional packages:
– 50% discount on registration fee
– Preferential interest rate of 4.99%/year
The registration fee support is capped at VND 33 million for the standard G grade and VND 38 million for the Hybrid grade. The promotion is valid from August 1 to August 31, 2024, for all customers who purchase the vehicle and complete the full payment.
The Toyota Yaris Cross is not the only B-segment SUV offering registration fee support this month. The Honda HR-V is also providing a 50% discount on the registration fee, ranging from VND 34 million to VND 43.5 million depending on the version.
With this promotional offer, the Toyota Yaris Cross gains a competitive edge in August 2024 and poses a challenge to strong rivals like the Mitsubishi Xforce. In June 2024, the Yaris Cross was the second best-selling model in the B-SUV segment, with sales of 811 units, a 10% decrease. Meanwhile, the Mitsubishi Xforce topped the segment with 948 units sold, achieving an impressive 18.2% growth.
For the first six months of this year, the Toyota Yaris Cross trailed behind the Mitsubishi Xforce in cumulative sales. The Yaris Cross sold 3,750 units, while the Mitsubishi Xforce, which was launched in March 2024, sold 3,890 units.
Since the price reduction to VND 650 million for the G grade and VND 765 million for the Hybrid grade, the Toyota Yaris Cross has witnessed a significant boost in sales. In addition to its competitive pricing, the Toyota model boasts a comprehensive list of standard features across all grades.
Standard equipment on this B-segment SUV includes LED lighting from front to rear, 18-inch alloy wheels, a digital instrument cluster with a 7-inch TFT screen, a 10-inch central touchscreen, wireless phone charging, ambient lighting, a 360-degree camera, six airbags, and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
The most significant difference between the two versions of the Toyota Yaris Cross lies in their powertrains. The gasoline-powered model is equipped with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 105 horsepower and 138 Nm of torque, paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT). This version offers a fuel efficiency of approximately 7.4 liters per 100 kilometers.
On the other hand, the hybrid version features a 1.5-liter gasoline engine generating 90 horsepower, coupled with an electric motor that delivers 79 horsepower, and a lithium-ion battery. According to the manufacturer, the hybrid version boasts an exceptional fuel economy of just 3.3 liters per 100 kilometers.
