Recent sightings of the Xiaomi SU7 at an exhibition in Paris, France, have sparked speculation about the Chinese automaker’s plans to enter the European market.

However, Xiaomi has denied these claims. CEO Lei Jun stated that the company has no immediate plans to export its electric vehicles: “Xiaomi is aiming for the global top 5, so we will globalize when the time is right.”

While Xiaomi is not directly distributing the SU7 in Europe, customers can still purchase this model through car dealerships or private import agents.

According to recent statistics, Xiaomi’s overseas revenue for the first quarter of 2024 accounted for over 50% of its total revenue, with smartphone sales contributing more than 70% to that figure.

The Xiaomi SU7 has not only created a buzz in its home market of China but has also captivated Europeans, as evident by the large crowds it attracted when displayed at the Pompidou Museum in Paris.

Due to limited supply, there have been reports of used SU7s being offered at significantly higher prices than new ones. For instance, an SU7 with 600 km on the odometer was sold for 343,000 Chinese yuan (approximately 1.296 billion VND), while another with 1,900 km was advertised for 335,000 yuan (around 1.168 billion VND).

These prices are considerably higher than the current market price of a new SU7, which ranges from 215,900 to 299,900 yuan (approximately 752.8 million to 1.045 billion VND).

In June 2024, Xiaomi announced that it had completed the delivery of over 10,000 SU7 electric vehicles. The Chinese automaker aims to achieve a total order volume of 100,000-120,000 units for the Xiaomi SU7 this year.
