On August 1, 2024, Honda announced its new promotional program for its range of vehicles. Among the Honda cars on offer this month is the ever-popular CR-V.
Similar to the previous month, in August 2024, Honda is offering a 100% waiver on registration fees for the G trim of the CR-V. Meanwhile, the L 2WD trim receives a 50% discount on registration fees and an additional year of free auto body insurance.
The listed price of the Honda CR-V G trim is VND 1,109 billion, while the L 2WD trim is priced at VND 1,159 billion. With the registration fee discount offered by Honda, customers will save VND 111 million on the G trim and VND 58 million on the L 2WD trim.
On the other hand, the remaining two variants of the Honda CR-V, the L 4WD and the e:HEV RS, are not included in this month’s promotions. These are also the two most expensive variants of the CR-V in the Vietnamese market, priced at VND 1.31 billion and VND 1.259 billion, respectively.
Honda Vietnam’s promotional program will be applicable to customers who sign a car purchase contract and complete a 100% payment between August 5 and August 31, 2024. The registration fee discount will be applied at a rate of 10%. With this promotion, customers purchasing the Honda CR-V will not have to wait for the government’s reduced registration fee policy.

In June 2024, the Honda CR-V witnessed a slight decline in sales compared to the previous month, selling 315 units, a decrease of 0.63%. It ranked fourth in its segment, following the Mazda CX-5, Ford Territory, and Hyundai Tucson. The cumulative sales for the first six months of 2024 stood at 2,338 units, placing it third in its segment. This could be one of the reasons why Honda has consistently offered promotions for the CR-V in recent months.
The Honda CR-V is currently one of the most expensive models in its segment, with prices ranging from VND 1,109 billion to VND 1.31 billion. However, this “expensive” model impresses with its sporty and robust design, improved comfort features, and safety enhancements. Notably, the Honda CR-V is one of the few SUV models in the Vietnamese market that offers a hybrid engine option, alongside the Haval H6.
Of course, the Honda CR-V is not the only SUV model with promotions this month. The Subaru Forester is also offering registration fee discounts ranging from VND 50 million to VND 140 million, depending on the trim level.
