In Vietnam, there are almost six units of the high-performance sports car, Porsche 911 Turbo S 992, each boasting a unique paint job and varying price tags depending on options and initial purchase prices. Notably, the Porsche 911 Turbo S experienced two price increases, with the final hike amounting to VND 1.17 billion, equivalent to the cost of a new Toyota Camry.
Given its exclusive nature, only one listing for a pre-owned Porsche 911 Turbo S 992 surfaced, featuring a Nogaro Metallic Green model priced at nearly half a billion VND. After a few months on the market, this rare, high-performance sports car, bordering on supercar territory, found a new owner, despite its rarity.
According to a Hanoi-based pre-owned car dealership, the Nogaro Metallic Green Porsche 911 Turbo S 992 was purchased by their client for nearly VND 13 billion, resulting in a savings of nearly VND 5 billion compared to buying new. The car had clocked over 13,000 kilometers and was in relatively new condition.
The Porsche 911 Turbo S of the 992 generation retains the 3.8-liter, twin-turbocharged flat-six engine of its predecessor but produces an impressive 640 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. These figures represent a significant increase of 60 horsepower and 50 Nm over the Porsche 911 Turbo S 991, three of which were officially imported and owned by Dang Le Nguyen Vu, Chairman of Trung Nguyen Corporation.
The Porsche 911 Turbo S 992’s potent engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, propelling the car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds with the SportChrono package, and on to a top speed of 330 km/h.
