The Ferrari Purosangue suffered extensive damage, with its engine and several critical components torn from the vehicle following a severe collision.
Introduced in September 2022, the Purosangue marked a historic turning point for the “prancing horse” brand as it ventured into the realm of high-performance super SUVs. The name Purosangue translates from Italian as “pure blood,” reflecting Ferrari’s DNA of combining speed, exhilarating handling, and versatility.
Unfortunately, a Ferrari Purosangue was involved in a severe accident in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, China. Notably, the SUV bore a Shanghai license plate, raising questions about whether it was a rented vehicle.
Based on the accident scene images, the vehicle appears to have collided with a divider while traveling at a high speed on a wet and slippery road due to heavy rain. The impact was so severe that it caused extensive damage to both the front and rear of the SUV. Astonishingly, the V12 engine was ripped out of the Ferrari Purosangue.
The Purosangue stands out with its unique design, blending the practical styling of an SUV with the aerodynamic features characteristic of a supercar. Owning a Purosangue is an exclusive privilege as Ferrari intentionally limits the number of vehicles sold to maintain the brand’s exclusivity.
Under the hood, the Purosangue boasts a 6.5L V12 gasoline engine, paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission from Magna Powertrain. This potent combination generates 715 horsepower and 716 Nm of torque, propelling the super SUV from 0-100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds and reaching a top speed of 310 km/h.
In China, the Ferrari Purosangue has a starting price of 4.998 million Chinese yuan (approximately 17.4 billion VND), while in Vietnam, it is available through official distributors starting at 39 billion VND.
